Friday khutbahs · 20 to 45 minutes · Arabic script

Transcribe an Arabic khutbah recorded in Sweden and share the words with those who could not attend.

An Arabic khutbah recorded in Sweden is transcribed in Arabic script in about a minute for 35 minutes of speech, with the language detected automatically. A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free, so a khutbah of up to 20 minutes comes back in full, and a year of weekly 35-minute khutbahs, 1,820 minutes, fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.

For the media volunteer after Jumu'ah

Many in the community work on Fridays. The text lets them read the khutbah that evening.

The message in a few lines

The brief states the khutbah's central theme and its main points, ready for the community newsletter or a message to the members' group.

References you can find again

Verses, hadith and names spoken in the khutbah are listed with their timestamps, so a reader can return to the exact moment.

Captions on the replay

Download SRT or VTT to add Arabic captions to the Friday video, so those watching on a phone in a quiet place can follow along.

Earlier Fridays in one go

Paste a Google Drive folder of past khutbahs or a YouTube link, or send a long full-day recording through the upload page.

Why the khutbah is gone by Monday

Spoken once on Friday, then only in the memory of those present.

✗ Recording only

The khutbah is filmed or recorded, posted once, and hard to quote or search afterwards.

  • No text for those who missed Jumu'ah
  • Volunteers transcribing Arabic by hand
  • Quotations checked by replaying the video
  • Generic tools that only expect English
  • No captions on the replay
  • Past khutbahs scattered across phones

✓ Khutbah as text

Each recording becomes Arabic text with the theme, the main points and every reference listed.

  • The full khutbah in Arabic script
  • The khatib named in the summary
  • Points marked as timestamped chapters
  • Verses and references gathered
  • SRT and VTT for the video
  • DOCX to print or translate from

Sample output

A Friday khutbah in Arabic, from the opening to the closing words.

Illustrative lines written for this page, not from a real mosque or khatib. In English: praise be to God, Lord of the worlds; brothers and sisters, today we speak about honouring parents; in this country our children grow up between two languages and two cultures; I say these words and ask God's forgiveness for me and for you.

FAQ

Arabic khutbahs in Sweden, answered.

Is a short khutbah really transcribed in full for free?

Yes, for a first-time visitor: the first 20 minutes are free, so a khutbah of up to 20 minutes comes back complete. A 35-minute one is previewed, and a pack from $6 transcribes the rest from where the preview ended.

The khutbah is in Arabic and then summarised in Swedish. What comes out?

A recording is detected on its main language. If the Arabic khutbah and the Swedish summary are separate parts, upload them as two files so each is transcribed in its own language. English words mixed into the Arabic are handled in the same pass.

What does a year of Fridays cost?

Fifty-two khutbahs of 35 minutes add up to 1,820 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A month of four, 140 minutes, sits easily on the $6 pack of 500 minutes, and two years of archive, 3,640 minutes, fit the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.

Our recording includes the prayer and announcements. Should I cut it?

No need. Upload the whole recording and use the chapters to find the khutbah within it; trimming it first only saves a few minutes of credit.

How big can the file be?

The cap is 10 hours or 5 GB per file, and 2 GB per upload before a first pack. A one-hour Friday video at 4 Mbps is about 1.8 GB (4,000,000 bits a second times 3,600 seconds, divided by 8), so it fits. A YouTube link needs no upload at all.

Which exports are there, and who sees the recording?

Exports are TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and nothing is published unless the community chooses to share it.
