Transcribe a Bikol barangay session and write the minutes from the text.
A 3-hour Bikol barangay or municipal session is transcribed in about 6 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers two sittings of that length. Bikol is supported, but its accuracy trails English and Tagalog, so treat the Bikol debate as a fast first draft and plan one review pass; motions read in English come back cleanly. New visitors get the first 20 minutes free, and a pack transcribes the rest of the sitting from where that preview stops.
For barangay and LGU secretaries
A sitting runs for hours and the minutes are due before the next one. Start from the words, not from memory.
A brief before the full text
The top of the result states what the session decided and what it left for next time, so the secretary knows the shape of the minutes before reading a single line of debate.
Every motion and peso amount, findable
Names, numbers and dates spoken in the hall are gathered into one list: the ordinance number read on first reading, the project amount, the date set for the hearing. Each item links to its minute in the recording. Spelling of sitio names and family names is worth checking against your own records before the minutes are printed.
Chapters that match the agenda
Roll call, reading of the previous minutes, committee reports, new business: the chapters follow the agenda as it was actually taken up, with a time beside each title.
Phone video or a recorder file
Whatever the hall used to record, the file goes up as it is through the upload page, up to 10 hours or 5 GB. A share link from Google Drive works too, so a recording already saved in the barangay's Drive needs no second upload.
Why the minutes lag
Writing minutes from a 3-hour recording means hearing the whole session twice.
✗ Minutes from the replay
The secretary takes notes during the sitting and then plays the recording back to check who moved what. In a hall with a fan, a loudspeaker and several members talking at once, that replay is slow. Sessions in the Bicol region often run past lunch when an ordinance or the annual budget is on the table, and the recording ends up as several phone clips or one very long video.
- Handwritten notes that miss who seconded
- An evening spent on one recording
- Peso amounts misheard and copied wrong
- No quick way to find where an item was tabled
- A phone video too big for chat apps
- Bikol and English in the same sentence
✓ Minutes written from text
The session arrives as text with its structure already marked, and the secretary checks rather than retypes. Because the whole sitting is one file, every timestamp in the minutes points back to the same recording, which helps when a member later asks to hear exactly what was said.
- A brief of decisions and pending items
- Motions and amounts with their minute
- One chapter for each agenda item
- Questions raised from the floor, listed
- Ask the chat which member raised an issue
- DOCX to edit, TXT to archive

FAQ
Bikol barangay sessions, answered.
How long does a 3-hour sitting take to process?
About 6 minutes. A 5-hour sitting, the kind that happens around budget time, takes about 10. You can close the tab and open the result later from your Library.
What will a year of Bikol sittings cost?
Each 3-hour session uses 180 minutes. Two sessions a month for a year is 24 sittings and 4,320 minutes, which fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. A single month of two sittings, 360 minutes, sits inside the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 140 to spare.
Our recording is a big phone video. Can it be uploaded?
Yes. Before your first pack, files up to 2 GB upload; a larger one starts once a pack is on the account, and any file can be 10 hours or 5 GB. A voice recorder saving MP3 at 128 kbps writes about 16 KB a second, so 3 hours is roughly 173 MB, far below either limit.
Should I cut the session into parts first?
No. One file keeps one timeline, so the minute beside each motion matches the recording. Only a sitting longer than 10 hours needs to go in as two files. If several phones recorded the same sitting, upload the one held closest to the presiding officer's microphone.
Is the transcript the official record?
No. It is an AI transcript with timestamps to write the minutes from, not an official or certified record. The secretary still prepares and the body still approves the minutes in the usual way.
Which files come out, and who can hear the recording?
You can download TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, and the DOCX opens in any word processor for the minutes. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete a session and its transcript at any time.
