Transcribe a Bisaya thesis interview and get to the analysis sooner.
A 90-minute thesis interview in Bisaya (Cebuano), Taglish or English comes back as text in about 3 minutes, with the first 20 minutes free and a $6 pack (500 minutes) for the rest. Cebuano is supported with lower accuracy than the major languages, so treat it as a fast first draft and plan one review pass before it goes into your appendix.
What an interview becomes
Your respondents' words, ready to check, code and quote.
Answers as respondents give them
Respondents answer in the language they think in, often Bisaya with English terms, or Taglish in studies done in Manila. The transcript keeps each answer as it was said, which is the record a qualitative appendix is meant to show. Interviews in barangays and schools often include a word or phrase in a third language as well, and it stays where the respondent said it.
Quotes you can trace
The transcript is timestamped, so a quote you lift for your results chapter can be checked against the audio in seconds. The brief lists the takeaways and key quotes, and the interviewer and respondent are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters.
All your interviews on one pack
Twelve interviews averaging 75 minutes come to 900 minutes, which the $12 pack (2,000 minutes) covers with room for follow-ups. One or two interviews fit the $6 pack (500 minutes).
Upload from wherever it was recorded
Phone voice memos and Zoom or Google Meet recordings all upload on upload page, and an interview saved in Google Drive can be shared as a link. Files up to 2 GB go in before a pack, which covers any audio interview of this length.
Transcribing for a thesis
Interviews done, and weeks of typing before the analysis can start.
✗ Typing every interview
Transcribing by hand takes several hours for each hour of talk, and code-switched answers slow it further. Undergraduate and graduate researchers often do the typing alone, late at night, after the fieldwork is already done.
- Four or more hours of typing per interview
- Pausing every few seconds for Bisaya phrases
- Tools that force one language per file
- Quotes you cannot trace to the audio
- Paying a typist by the minute
- A deadline that does not move
✓ Every interview, the same day
The text arrives in minutes, so your time goes to checking and coding rather than typing.
- About 3 minutes for 90 minutes
- Respondents' own words, in their own language
- Timestamps to verify each quote
- Takeaways and key quotes in the brief
- DOCX for the appendix
- $12 pack for a dozen long interviews

FAQ
Thesis interviews: what researchers ask.
How long does a 90-minute interview take?
About 3 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio; a 45-minute interview is ready in about a minute and a half. A full set of interviews can be uploaded the same afternoon you finish the fieldwork.
What do all my interviews cost?
Add up the minutes. Six interviews of 75 minutes come to 450, which the $6 pack (500 minutes) handles, helped by the first 20 minutes free. Between 500 and 2,000 minutes in total, buy the $12 pack.
Can I put the transcript straight into my appendix?
Use it after one careful listen. Check the Bisaya passages against the audio, replace names with the codes your ethics protocol uses, and keep the timestamps if your adviser wants quotes traceable; the edited DOCX is then ready for the appendix.
Is there a size limit, and do I need to split long interviews?
One file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and before a pack the upload limit is 2 GB. A 2-hour interview recorded on a phone is a small fraction of that, so no splitting is needed. Video calls recorded in Zoom or Google Meet are larger but still well inside the limit.
Which languages work besides Bisaya?
99 languages are detected automatically. Tagalog/Filipino and English come back cleanly, Taglish switches included, while Hiligaynon, Waray, Ilocano and other regional languages are supported in the same way as Cebuano, with the same review pass advised.
Which formats can I export, and is my respondents' audio safe?
Each interview exports to TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Interview audio is transcribed on our own servers and is never used for training, and you can delete an interview and its transcript once your study is done.
