Transcribe a Cantonese church service including the interpreted parts.
A 100-minute Cantonese church service recorded in Australia is transcribed in about 3 to 4 minutes, with Cantonese detected automatically and English phrases in the sermon handled in the same pass. After the first 20 minutes free, five such services, exactly 500 minutes, fit the $6 pack.
For Cantonese ministry volunteers
The sermon was in Cantonese, the interpreter carried it into another language, and the text keeps both.
Interpreted services, both voices
Where a Cantonese sermon is interpreted sentence by sentence, the recording is detected on its main language and both voices come through as text, so the media team has one document for the whole service.
A start for the bulletin
The brief opens with the message's thesis and takeaways; copy it into the weekly bulletin or the fellowship group's discussion sheet.
Readings and notices indexed
Bible passages read from the pulpit, prayer topics and the dates in the notices are listed with timestamps.
Five Sundays for six dollars
A 100-minute service uses 100 minutes of credit, so the $6 pack of 500 covers five Sundays, and credits never expire between busy and quiet months.
Why the sermon is lost
Older members miss a week, younger ones read faster than they listen, and the recording serves neither.
✗ The recording alone
The service goes up as audio on the church website, and the elders ask for notes that no one has time to write. Members who prefer reading to listening, and families who moved from Hong Kong or Malaysia and still follow the church online, are left with an hour and a half of audio.
- A volunteer transcribing Cantonese by ear
- Tools that guess the wrong language
- The interpreter's words lost from the record
- No notes for members who were away
- Readings impossible to locate later
- A replay without subtitles
✓ The service as text
Upload it on Sunday afternoon and print the notes on Monday. The pastor can tidy the DOCX before it goes to print, and the fellowship leaders have the passage and the main points for Friday's study.
- Cantonese text of the spoken service
- Chapters from call to worship to benediction
- Readings and notice dates listed
- The preacher named in the summary
- DOCX for the bulletin and the archive
- SRT and VTT for the video replay

A Cantonese sermon, in the words the preacher used.
Illustrative lines written for this page, not from any real church. In English: please turn to Psalm 23; the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; brothers and sisters, many of us are actually very tired; next Sunday after service there is a lunch in the hall, everyone is welcome.

FAQ
Cantonese church services, answered.
Is Cantonese recognised, or do I have to choose it?
Cantonese is detected automatically from the audio; there is no setting to choose. A service in which the preacher switches into English for a phrase or a quotation is handled in the same transcript.
What about a trilingual service in Cantonese, Mandarin and English?
The recording is detected on its main language, and the other voices come through in the same pass. If the Mandarin congregation meets separately and records its own service, upload that recording on its own so each service is detected on its own main language. English hymn titles, place names and the odd English sentence stay in Latin letters in the text.
How much does a year of Sunday services cost?
Five 100-minute services fit the $6 pack of 500. A quarter of thirteen services, 1,300 minutes, fits the $12 pack of 2,000, and 50 services, 5,000 minutes, use the whole $24 pack. There is no subscription, and credits never expire.
How long does it take?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio: roughly 3 to 4 minutes for a 100-minute service. A full Christmas or Easter service of two and a half hours is ready in about 5.
Our video files are big. What is the limit?
One file may run up to 10 hours or 5 GB. Before the first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB; the box on this page takes 500 MB and larger files continue on the main upload page. A YouTube replay can simply be pasted as a link.
Is the recording kept private?
The service is transcribed on our own servers and is never used for training. Downloads come as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON.
