Full service · one file · about 2 min per hour · packs from $6

Transcribe a church service recording from the welcome to the last notice.

You have the recording of a whole church service, 90 minutes to two hours, and you want all of it as text, not only the sermon. Drop the file or paste the livestream link below: a 2-hour service comes back in about 4 minutes as one transcript, the first 20 minutes are free, and a pack from $6 (500 minutes) transcribes the rest.

Why the full service

A service is more than the sermon, and the recording holds all of it.

Every part of the morning in order

The welcome, the readings, the sermon, the prayers that were spoken aloud and the notices at the end all land in one document. Chapters mark where each part starts, so the person who only needs the announcements can jump straight there.

The livestream is already a link

Most services that are streamed end up on YouTube or Vimeo. Paste that link and nothing has to be downloaded or uploaded from the sound desk. A recording taken off the desk as a file works too; the box takes ordinary sizes and a larger file continues on the upload page.

Ready before the coffee is cold

Processing runs at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 2-hour service is ready in roughly four. You can close the tab and come back to it in your Library.

Something to hand on

The brief gives the main point of the message and its takeaways, and lists the names, dates and numbers that were mentioned, such as an event date or a fundraising total. That is a head start for the bulletin, the website or a member who missed the week.

Without it

What happens to a service recording that never becomes text.

✗ Recording only

The video sits on the channel, and anyone who wants one detail from it has to scrub through two hours.

  • The notices are only heard by the people in the room
  • Finding one reading means scrubbing the video
  • Volunteers retype parts of the sermon by hand
  • Members who cannot hear well get no text
  • Clip tools stop at 30 or 60 minutes
  • The service is cut in pieces to fit an upload limit

✓ Service as text

The same recording, readable and searchable, with a clock that runs from the opening words to the last.

  • One file covers the full 90 to 120 minutes
  • Chapters for readings, message and notices
  • Dates and names said aloud collected in the brief
  • Captions as SRT or VTT for the posted video
  • Uploads up to 5 GB, or the stream link
  • About 4 minutes from upload to text

Sample output

Two hours of a Sunday, read top to bottom.

Illustrative output, not a real service. The timestamps run from the start of the recording, so the notices near the end keep their place in the same document as the opening welcome.

FAQ

Church service recordings, answered.

How long does a 2-hour church service take to transcribe?

About 4 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 90-minute service is usually done in about three. You do not need to keep the page open while it runs.

What does transcribing a full service cost?

The first 20 minutes are free, so you can read the welcome and the start of the service before paying. A $6 pack (500 minutes) transcribes the rest, and covers a month of four 2-hour services. Minutes never expire and there is no subscription.

Our service video is several gigabytes. Will it upload?

A service file can be as large as 5 GB and as long as 10 hours. Before your first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB; a file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account. If the service was streamed, pasting the link skips the upload entirely.

Should I cut out the sermon first?

No. Upload the service as it was recorded and use the chapters to find the sermon. Cutting it out means editing software and a second file, and you lose the readings and notices that sit around it.

Our services are bilingual. Does that work?

The language is detected automatically from 99, including Spanish, Korean, Tagalog and Hindi. A service that moves between two languages is transcribed in its main language, so a mostly Spanish service with a short English welcome reads as Spanish.

Which files can we export, and who sees the recording?

TXT and DOCX for the bulletin or website, SRT and VTT for captions on the posted video, and JSON for anything automated. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete a service and its text at any time.
