Transcribe a bilingual French and English meeting one recording, one transcript.
A Canadian meeting that moves between French and English is detected on its main language with the switches handled, and a 2-hour meeting comes back here as one transcript in about 4 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a year of monthly 2-hour meetings, 1,440 minutes, fits on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.
What the bilingual meeting becomes
One meeting, two languages, a single transcript.
No language setting to pick
There is no setting to pick: the meeting is detected on the language spoken most, and when someone answers in the other language, the switch is handled in the same transcript. Upload the recording on upload page.
Each passage as spoken
French passages stay in French and English ones in English. Nothing is translated, so the record matches what each person said in the room. Minutes in two languages can then be drafted from one source instead of two people's notes.
Names, dates, decisions
The brief lists the decisions taken, the dates set and the figures cited, with participants named in the summary, the key quotes and the chapters.
Works on the file after the meeting
Nothing and nobody joins the call. Record it the way your organisation already does, in the meeting app or on a room recorder, and send the file when the meeting ends.
Why bilingual meetings trip up transcription
A tool that expects one language struggles with the other half of the room.
✗ One-language tools
Set to one language, a tool can mangle answers in the other.
- A language to pick before upload
- Answers in the other language mangled
- Minutes merged from two sets of notes
- Caps on meeting length
- Monthly seats for occasional meetings
- No search across the year's meetings
✓ One transcript for both
The meeting as spoken, French and English together.
- Two hours in two languages, about 4 minutes
- Main language detected
- Switches handled in the same text
- Speakers of both languages named in quotes
- Decisions and deadlines listed
- One file up to 10 hours long

FAQ
Bilingual meeting recordings, the common questions.
How long does two hours of French and English take?
About 4 minutes, the same as a meeting in one language: roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 3-hour annual general meeting with a question period in both languages takes about 6.
What does a year of bilingual meetings cost?
Twelve monthly 2-hour meetings come to 1,440 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A board that also holds a 6-hour annual retreat, 360 minutes more, still fits at 1,800 minutes. A team that meets every week might prefer the $19 a month Workspace.
What happens when the room changes language?
The meeting is detected on its main language, the one spoken most, and switches into the other language are handled in the same transcript. French and English sit among the 99 languages recognised automatically.
Do I need two recordings, one per language?
No. One recording of the whole meeting gives one transcript with both languages in it. Only a recording over 10 hours is uploaded as two files. Keep the single file even when one language dominates the first hour and the other the second; the switch partway is handled in the same text.
How large can a bilingual meeting file be?
Up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file; before a first pack, uploads stop at 2 GB. Audio alone is far smaller than video and carries everything the transcript needs.
Which formats come back, and who sees the meeting?
Pick TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON for the bilingual record. Meetings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
