Transcribe long Zoom and Teams meetings for teams across Canada.
Long Zoom and Teams meetings for Canadian teams often run two to three hours, and the built-in notes stop short or miss what was decided. Upload the recording file afterwards, with no bot in the call: three hours comes back in about 6 minutes, and the first 20 minutes are free.
After the call, not during it
A long meeting turned into decisions, owners and dates.
Nothing joins your meeting
There is no assistant sitting in the participant list. You record the meeting the way you already do, then upload the file. Participants see only the usual recording notice from Zoom or Teams.
Getting the file
Zoom saves an MP4 and an audio-only M4A, either locally or in the cloud, and the M4A is the smaller upload. Teams recordings are downloaded first, from wherever your organisation stores them, and then uploaded here. upload page
What the meeting decided
The brief leads with decisions and takeaways, and the names, numbers and dates said in the call are listed with their times. The deadline someone agreed to in the second hour is in the list, not buried at 02:14:30.
The cost of a long call
A 2.5-hour meeting is 150 minutes, so the $6 pack of 500 minutes holds three of them. A team with a long planning call every week would get through about a quarter of meetings on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.
Why long calls lose their notes
Two hours in, the note-taker stops typing.
✗ Built-in notes and memory
Meeting tools are tuned for the half-hour stand-up, and long calls show the seams.
- A notes feature that needs a pricier licence
- A bot in the call that some guests object to
- Summaries that thin out after the first hour
- Action items nobody wrote down
- Rewatching to confirm what the client agreed
- Notes in one place, the recording in another
✓ The whole call, after the fact
Upload once and send the team a brief they can trust, with times to check it.
- About 2 minutes per hour of audio
- Up to 10 hours and 5 GB per file
- Participants named in the summary and quotes
- Chapters by agenda topic
- A chat that answers what the budget figure was
- DOCX for the follow-up email, JSON for your tools

FAQ
Long Zoom and Teams recordings, the common questions.
How long does a 3-hour Zoom meeting take to transcribe?
About 6 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A two-hour Teams meeting is ready in about 4.
What do our weekly long meetings cost?
A two-hour weekly meeting is about 520 minutes a month, a little more than the $6 pack, so the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers almost four months. For a team that records most of its calls, the $19/month Workspace is the other option. Prices are in US dollars, and pack minutes never expire.
Does a bot need to join our meeting?
No. Nothing joins the live call. You record in Zoom or Teams as usual and upload the recording afterwards.
How do I get a Teams recording into WhipScribe?
Download the recording file from where your Teams meetings are saved, then upload it here. Zoom recordings can be uploaded straight from the folder Zoom saved them to. Either way, files up to 2 GB go in before the first pack and up to 5 GB after.
Our meetings switch between English and French. Is that handled?
Each recording is detected on its main language, from 99 supported. If a call moves between English and French, read the passages in the second language against the audio before quoting them.
Which exports are there, and is the meeting kept confidential?
Downloads come as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete the recording and transcript at any time.
