Transcribe a French focus group in Canada ready for analysis the same day.
A French-language focus group in Canada usually runs 90 to 120 minutes, and a 2-hour session comes back here as French text in about 4 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and five 100-minute groups, 500 minutes, fill the $6 pack exactly.
From the discussion room
Eight voices around a table, turned into text you can code.
Room or video call
A recorder in the middle of the table, the viewing room's system or a video call recording all work. Each group goes in as one file, up to 10 hours or 5 GB, on upload page.
The guide becomes chapters
Warm-up, first impressions, the concept test, price reactions and the wrap-up each become a chapter with a time, matching the moderator's guide closely enough to compare groups.
Quotes worth reporting
Key quotes are pulled out and attributed in the summary when participants are named on the recording, which speeds up the report's verbatim section. First names only is the usual practice.
Ask across the session
Ask the chat which concerns came up about price and it answers from that group's transcript with timestamps, a quick check before the full analysis.
Why focus group transcripts run late
The report is due, and the recordings are still audio.

✓ Working from French text
Every group ready the same afternoon.
- Two hours back in about 4 minutes
- Each group in its own file
- Chapters that follow the guide
- Participants named in the summary
- Key quotes pulled out
- JSON for a coding tool

FAQ
French focus group recordings, the common questions.
How long does a 2-hour group take?
About 4 minutes; a 90-minute group about 3. Several groups uploaded together are processed side by side. That leaves the evening for a first pass at the themes rather than waiting days for transcripts.
What does a full study cost?
Eight groups of 2 hours are 960 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Up to five groups of 100 minutes fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Prices are in US dollars, and the minutes left over stay for the next study.
Are participants identified?
Speakers are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, using the names people say on the recording. For anonymity, introduce participants by first name or a number.
A participant answers in English. Is that kept?
Yes. The group is detected on its main language, French, and English answers inside it are handled in the same transcript. Brand names and English expressions common in Quebec are worth checking before you quote them.
Is there a size limit?
Up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. Uploads stop at 2 GB until a pack is on the account, which matters only for long, high-resolution video of the viewing room. When two participants talk over each other, the overlap is where the text needs the most care; a moderator who asks one person at a time helps.
What can I export, and where does the audio go?
Download DOCX for the report, JSON or TXT for a qualitative coding tool, and SRT or VTT if clips of the session are captioned for the client. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
