Transcribe a French radio show from Canada hours of talk, ready to analyse.
A French talk radio show recorded in Canada for research, often three hours of hosts, guests and callers, comes back here as French text in about 6 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a week of five 3-hour shows, 900 minutes, fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.
For researchers and media monitors
Three hours of open line, turned into a corpus you can search.
From the recording or the feed
If the station publishes the show as a podcast, paste the podcast or RSS link and nothing needs uploading. A recording you captured yourself goes in as one file, up to 10 hours or 5 GB, on upload page.
Segments become chapters
The opening monologue, the interview, the open line, the news break and the closing each become a chapter with a time, which makes coding a show by segment far quicker.
What was said on air, listed
Names of public figures, places, figures and dates mentioned by hosts and callers are listed beside the transcript, ready to check against the recording before citing.
Talk only, not the music
Music, jingles and sound effects are not transcribed; the hosts, guests, callers and the spoken ads are. That keeps the text close to what a researcher actually analyses.

FAQ
French radio show recordings, the common questions.
How long does a 3-hour show take?
About 6 minutes. Processing takes close to 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 1-hour show is ready in about 2. A month of archived shows can be uploaded in one sitting and processed in parallel.
What does a month of daily shows cost?
Twenty-two weekday shows of 3 hours are 3,960 minutes, which fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. One week of five shows, 900 minutes, fits the $12 pack. Prices are USD and credits do not expire.
Are songs and ads transcribed?
Songs, jingles and sound effects are not; the speech is. Spoken ads and station announcements are speech, so they appear in the text and can be skipped by chapter. Keeping ads in the text is useful for researchers who study sponsorship as well as content.
Callers sometimes speak English. Does that work?
A show is detected on its main language, French, and English callers or clips inside it are handled in the same transcript. Hosts who move quickly between topics still get a chapter at each change of segment.
Can I record a whole day of broadcasting?
One file holds up to 10 hours or 5 GB; a longer capture goes in as two files. Uploads over 2 GB start once a pack is on the account. Only transcribe broadcasts you have the right to use for your research.
Which formats come out, and is the recording kept private?
Researchers usually export JSON or TXT for analysis; DOCX, SRT and VTT are there too. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
