Transcribe long interviews recorded in Ireland without typing them out.
A long interview recorded in Ireland, whether for a feature, an oral history or an HR panel, comes back as text at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a two-hour conversation is ready in roughly 4 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest of that interview with more than six hours left over.
What a long interview needs
The interview ran long because the answers were good. The transcript should keep all of them.
One recorder file, one transcript
Journalists often leave the recorder running from the handshake to the goodbye, and oral history sessions can go past three hours. Send the file as it came off the device: one recording holds up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so nothing needs cutting first.
Quotes you can stand behind
Every passage carries the time it was said. When an editor asks whether a guest really put it that way, you open the audio at that minute and listen, instead of scrubbing through a two-hour file for the line.
The arithmetic for a study or a series
A single interview of up to about eight hours fits inside the $6 pack. Twenty interviews of 90 minutes each come to 1,800 minutes, which the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers with room to spare. All prices are in US dollars.
A brief before the full read
Each interview returns with a brief stating the thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, and the names, dates and figures mentioned. The interviewer and the guest are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, so you can find the passage you need before reading every page.
Why long interviews stall
The recording is easy. The two days of typing afterwards are the problem.
✗ Typing it, or a tool built for clips
Transcribing by hand runs at roughly four to six hours of work for each hour of tape, and many apps cut off well before an interview ends.

FAQ
Long interviews from Ireland, answered.
How long does a two-hour interview take to transcribe?
About 4 minutes. Processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 90-minute interview takes about 3 minutes and a three-hour oral history session about 6. You can close the tab and find the transcript in your Library later.
What does a two-hour interview cost?
120 minutes from the $6 pack of 500 minutes, leaving 380 minutes for the next recordings. The first 20 minutes of your first recording are free, and the pack picks up from where that preview ended. Prices are in US dollars and the credits never expire.
What about a whole project of interviews?
Add up the minutes and choose the pack that covers them. Twenty interviews at 90 minutes come to 1,800 minutes, which sits inside the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Forty such interviews come to 3,600 minutes and belong on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes, which also includes API access.
My recorder made a very large WAV file. Will it upload?
A file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, whichever comes first. Before your first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB, and a larger file starts once a pack is on the account. A two-hour WAV at standard quality is usually around 1.2 GB, so it fits either way.
Which languages and accents does it handle?
99 languages are detected automatically, so you do not set one before uploading. English interviews are transcribed as spoken, and an interview held mainly in another language is detected on that main language.
Which exports are there, and what happens to the recording?
The interview downloads as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON, all from one run. Interview audio is transcribed on our own servers and is never used for training, and you can delete the recording and its transcript whenever you like.
