Transcribe long Zoom and Teams meetings from New Zealand, from the recording.
A two-and-a-half-hour Zoom or Teams meeting from New Zealand turns into text in about 5 minutes, from the saved recording, with no bot in the call. The first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes holds three meetings of that length.
What a long call looks like here
The meeting has already happened. The recording is enough.
The recording, not a bot
Nothing joins the call and nobody has to admit a stranger from the waiting room. You record the meeting the way you already do, then hand over the file afterwards.
Getting the file out
A Zoom cloud recording downloads as an MP4 video, and many accounts also offer an audio-only M4A, which is smaller. A Teams recording is downloaded first from wherever your organisation keeps it, then uploaded on upload page.
Four weeks of a long weekly meeting
Four meetings of two and a half hours are 600 minutes. That goes on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, and the 1,400 left carry over, because credits never expire.
Decisions without the replay
The brief lists the outcomes, the names, numbers and dates that were said are pulled out, and the chat answers questions such as who agreed to send the revised budget, with a timestamp to check.
Why long calls are awkward elsewhere
Meeting tools are tuned for a 30-minute stand-up.
✗ Bots and short limits
Live note-takers join as a participant and many cap the length or the minutes per month.
- A bot in the participant list
- Notes that stop at a time cap
- A seat fee for every attendee
- A monthly plan for a few long calls
- Nothing for a call you already recorded
- Action items lost in the chat
✓ The file, afterwards
The meeting runs as normal; the recording comes back as a searchable document.
- No bot, no install
- About 5 minutes for 2.5 hours
- Decisions and dates listed
- Chapters by agenda item
- DOCX to share with attendees
- First 20 minutes at no charge

FAQ
Long Zoom and Teams meetings in New Zealand, the common questions.
How long does a two-and-a-half-hour meeting take?
About 5 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A three-hour meeting usually comes back in about 6 minutes.
What does a long meeting cost?
Two and a half hours is 150 minutes. The first 20 are free for a first-time visitor, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest, with room for two more meetings like it, at $0.72 per audio hour.
Is there a file size limit, and will I have to split the recording?
One file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so a meeting is never split. Uploads before the first pack go up to 2 GB; if a long video recording is bigger, the audio-only file is a fraction of the size.
What about te reo Māori or other languages in the meeting?
It recognises 99 languages on its own and works from the recording's main language. If a mostly English meeting opens with a karakia or includes te reo passages, review those parts against the recording.
Which exports come back, and is the recording kept private?
You get TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON from the same transcript. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can remove the meeting and its transcript whenever you choose.
Does anyone in the meeting need to do anything?
No. Nobody installs anything and nothing joins the call. Whoever holds the recording uploads it afterwards, which also means older recordings can be transcribed just as easily.
