2 to 3 hour meetings · the file, not a bot · about 6 min

Transcribe long Zoom and Teams meetings from the saved recording, with no assistant in the call.

A two- to three-hour Zoom or Teams meeting is transcribed from its recording file in about 4 to 6 minutes, and nothing joins the call while it happens. The first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers a three-hour meeting with room left for the next one. Planning sessions, client workshops and all-hands calls in US companies often pass the two-hour mark, and the file the meeting already made is all this needs.

After the meeting ends

Upload the file the call already made, and get the decisions back before the follow-up email.

No bot, no invite

Nothing is added to the meeting. Zoom and Teams record the call as they normally do; afterwards you download the file and upload it here, so the attendee list stays as it was and nobody is asked to admit an assistant.

Where the files are

Zoom cloud recordings download from the web portal as MP4 video, and an audio-only M4A when that option is on. A Teams recording is saved to OneDrive or SharePoint; download it there, then upload it here. The audio file is the smaller choice and transcribes the same.

Long calls finish fast

Speed is about 2 minutes per audio hour, so a two-hour call returns in about 4 minutes and a three-hour planning session in about 6. The transcript stays in your Library if you close the tab.

A team's month of meetings

A three-hour meeting uses 180 minutes. A team with three of those each week records about 2,160 minutes a month, more than the $12 pack, so the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes fits. A team that records every week can also use the $19 a month Workspace.

Why bots are not the only answer

Meeting assistants join the call. Some rooms do not want them there.

✗ The bot approach

Many meeting tools send an assistant into the call, which some clients and some IT teams refuse.

  • An extra attendee in every meeting
  • Admins blocking third-party bots
  • Notes that stop when the bot is removed
  • A per-seat monthly subscription
  • Short length caps on free plans
  • Nothing for meetings recorded before you signed up

✓ The recording approach

Use the file the meeting already made, including ones from last year.

  • No bot, nothing to admit
  • Works on old recordings too
  • Files of up to 10 hours or 5 GB
  • Decisions, figures and dates listed
  • Participants named in the key quotes
  • One-time packs, no seat fees

00:01:55 Thanks for blocking the afternoon. The agenda is the third-quarter roadmap, hiring, and the vendor renewal, in that order.
00:48:30 If we keep the launch on the twelfth, the reporting feature moves to the next release. I am fine with that.
01:52:10 The renewal quote is up nine percent. I would like one competing bid before we sign anything.
02:54:40 So, decisions: the launch stays on the twelfth, two hires are approved, and the renewal waits for the second bid.

FAQ

Long Zoom and Teams meetings, answered.

How long does a three-hour meeting recording take?

About 6 minutes. Processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per hour, so a 90-minute call takes about 3. The page can be closed while it works.

How much does a two-hour call cost?

It uses 120 minutes of the $6 pack of 500 minutes. The first 20 minutes of your first recording are free, and the pack transcribes the rest from where the preview ended. There is no subscription, and the credits never expire.

Do I need to install anything or add a bot to Zoom or Teams?

No. Record the meeting as usual, download the file, and upload it here. Nothing is installed, and nothing joins the call.

The Zoom MP4 is large. Will it upload?

Each file may be as long as 10 hours or as large as 5 GB. Uploads before the first pack stop at 2 GB, and a bigger MP4 begins once a pack is on the account. The Zoom audio-only M4A is much smaller and gives the same transcript.

Which languages work?

99, detected automatically per recording. A meeting held mainly in Spanish, Portuguese or Japanese is detected on that language without a setting.

Which exports are there, and who can see the meeting?

One run gives TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete the recording and transcript whenever you choose.
