2 to 5 hour meetings · about 8 min for 4 h · first 20 min free

Transcribe board meetings and AGMs and find every motion by its timestamp.

A board meeting or annual meeting of four hours comes back as text in about 8 minutes, with the decisions, figures and dates said in the room listed beside the transcript. The first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the remaining 220 minutes of that meeting with 280 to spare. Nonprofit, company and association boards in the US commonly meet for two to five hours, and the whole session goes in as one file.

What the secretary gets back

A long meeting, reduced to the motions, the numbers and the minute each was said.

The figures, listed

Budgets, vote counts, dates and names said aloud are pulled into one list, each tied to its timestamp. When the treasurer reads a variance figure at hour three, you find it without scrubbing through the audio.

Chapters follow the agenda

Long meetings move item by item, and the chapters land where the discussion turns: call to order, the treasurer's report, old business, new business, and any closed session that was recorded. Each chapter opens at its own timestamp.

A year of meetings, priced

A monthly board meeting of three hours uses 180 minutes. Twelve of them come to 2,160 minutes, just past the $12 pack, so a year of meetings sits on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes, which also carries API access.

Ready before the room empties

At about 2 minutes per audio hour, a five-hour annual meeting is done in roughly 10 minutes. The public proof page shows a 4.94-hour file finishing in 372 seconds.

Why board recordings are hard to use

The recording exists. Finding the vote in it is the problem.

✗ Scrubbing a five-hour file

Many boards keep the recording and still write minutes from handwritten notes, because the audio is too long to search.

  • Notes that miss a figure read aloud
  • A vote two directors remember differently
  • Five hours of audio with no index
  • Free tiers that end half an hour in
  • Conference-phone audio too quiet to replay
  • Hours of typing before a draft exists

✓ A searchable record

The whole meeting is one transcript, with the decisions and numbers already listed.

  • A file of up to 10 hours or 5 GB
  • Motions, figures and dates listed
  • Chapters at each agenda turn
  • Board members named in the summary and chapters
  • DOCX, TXT and JSON exports
  • Credits that wait for next quarter

00:02:30 A quorum is present. The first item is approval of last quarter's minutes, with the correction to the date on page two.
00:41:15 Operating expenses came in at four hundred and twelve thousand, about six percent under budget, mostly from the delayed lease.
01:58:40 I would like the minutes to show that I asked for the vendor comparison before we vote, not after.
03:47:05 The motion carries, seven in favor, one abstaining. We will adjourn after the date for the annual meeting is set.

FAQ

Board meeting recordings, answered.

How quickly is a four-hour board meeting transcribed?

Roughly 8 minutes, because each hour of audio takes about 2 minutes to process. A two-hour committee meeting takes about 4. You can leave the page and pick the transcript up from your Library.

How much does a full year of board meetings cost?

Count the minutes. Four quarterly meetings of four hours are 960 minutes, which fit on the $12 pack of 2,000. Twelve monthly meetings of three hours are 2,160 minutes and belong on the $24 pack of 5,000. A board office that records something every week can use the $19 a month Workspace instead.

Can the transcript stand in for the minutes?

It is a draft to write the minutes from, not the minutes themselves. The board still approves its minutes in the usual way; the transcript and the list of decisions make the secretary's draft faster to write and easier to check against what was said.

The meeting was recorded as a long video. Will the file upload?

The ceiling is 10 hours or 5 GB for a single file, whichever is reached first. Until the first pack is bought, an upload can be up to 2 GB, and a bigger video begins once a pack is on the account. Audio from a conference phone or a laptop is far smaller than either limit.

What if the meeting is not in English?

99, detected automatically. A meeting held in English is transcribed in English, and one held mainly in Spanish or Korean is detected on that language without a setting.

Which formats can I export, and who can see the recording?

DOCX for the draft minutes, plus TXT, SRT, VTT and JSON, all from one run. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Delete the recording and its transcript from your Library once the minutes are approved.
