Transcribe long podcast episodes in Japan and write the show notes from chapters.
A podcast episode from Japan that runs 2 to 4 hours can go in by RSS link or as a file, and comes back at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so 3 hours takes roughly 6 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes holds two 3-hour episodes with 140 minutes left.
Built for long episodes
Three hours of conversation, turned into notes, quotes and a searchable archive.
Straight from the feed
Paste the RSS feed or the episode page and we pull the audio, so there is no export from your hosting dashboard. A file from the editor works just as well.
Show notes from the chapters
Chapters with timestamps follow the topics as they change, and the brief gives the thesis and takeaways. Those two cover most of the show notes for a long episode.
Quotes for the clips you post
Key quotes come with timestamps and the guest's name, so whoever posts the episode can find the line and cut it in the editor.
A back catalogue, priced
Twenty-five 3-hour episodes are 75 hours, or 4,500 minutes. The $24 pack of 5,000 minutes covers them with 500 left, at $0.29 per audio hour.
Why long episodes go untranscribed
The longer the conversation, the less likely it is written down.
✗ Where long episodes stall
Many transcription tools were sized for a 30-minute episode, not a 3-hour one. Listeners looking for a topic from an old episode have nothing to search.
- Upload limits below a long episode
- Exporting and splitting the audio
- Show notes written by listening again
- Timestamps added by hand
- Per-seat plans for a two-person show
- Old episodes never searchable
✓ The episode, done in minutes
Paste the feed, read the text, publish the notes. Older episodes can go through the same way, one at a time.
- RSS or file, either works
- About 6 minutes for 3 hours
- Chapters ready for the description
- Guests named in quotes and chapters
- Credits that wait between seasons
- TXT for the blog, SRT for video

FAQ
Long podcasts from Japan, the common questions.
How long does a 3-hour episode take?
About 6 minutes at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 4-hour episode is usually ready in about 8. The transcript is saved to your Library when it finishes. Each episode is kept separately in your Library.
How much does a run of long episodes cost?
Two 3-hour episodes use 360 of the 500 minutes in the $6 pack. Ten episodes of 3 hours come to 1,800 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000. A back catalogue of 25 such episodes suits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.
Is there a limit on episode length or file size?
An episode file can last up to 10 hours and weigh up to 5 GB. Before the first pack, uploads stop at 2 GB, which an audio episode almost never reaches. An RSS link avoids the upload altogether.
We recorded a 12-hour marathon. Will it fit?
As two files, since one file holds up to 10 hours. Split it at a break and upload both; each comes back with its own chapters.
Does it work for episodes in Japanese with some English?
Japanese is detected automatically among 99 languages. An episode is transcribed on its main language, so English segments in a Japanese show are worth checking before you publish them.
Which exports do I get, and is my audio used for anything else?
You get TXT for the website, DOCX for editing, SRT and VTT for the video upload and JSON for your own tools. Unreleased episodes are safe to send: recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
