Transcribe long podcast episodes from New Zealand, straight from the feed.
A three-hour New Zealand podcast episode turns into text in about 6 minutes, and the first 20 minutes are free. Paste the RSS feed or episode link; the rest of the episode goes on a $6 pack of 500 minutes with 340 to spare.
What a long episode looks like here
Three hours of conversation, turned into show notes you did not have to write.
From the feed, no download
Paste the podcast's RSS feed or a single episode link and the audio is fetched for you. Nothing needs exporting from your hosting service, and nothing is uploaded from a home connection.
Show notes from the chapters
Long-form talk wanders. Chapters with timestamps mark where the topic changed, so a timestamped show-notes list is a copy and a light edit, not a second listen.
A month of episodes, priced
Four three-hour episodes come to 720 minutes, which goes on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes and leaves 1,280 for next month. Credits never expire, so a month off the mic wastes nothing.
Quotes for the clip post
Key quotes come back with the speaker named and a timestamp, which makes it quick to find the minute worth cutting for social posts in your own editor.
Why long episodes are awkward elsewhere
Many speech tools were sized for a five-minute voice memo.
✗ Tools that stop at the first hour
A three-hour episode trips upload caps and length limits that a short show never meets.
- The OpenAI Whisper API's 25 MB upload limit
- An episode cut into five parts first
- A clock that restarts in each part
- Hand-written show notes after a re-listen
- A subscription for a weekly show
- Captions made separately
✓ The episode, whole
One episode in, one transcript out, with the timestamps your listeners will click.
- RSS feed or episode link
- Three hours back in six minutes or so
- Chapters for show notes
- Named quotes with timestamps
- SRT and VTT for video
- Pay per pack from $6, no plan

FAQ
Long podcast episodes, the common questions.
How long does a three-hour episode take?
Around 6 minutes, because processing takes about 2 minutes for every hour of audio. A four-hour episode usually lands in around 8, and a two-hour one in about 4.
What does a back catalogue cost?
Thirty past episodes averaging two and a half hours come to about 4,500 minutes, which fits on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes, around $0.29 per audio hour. A single four-hour episode is 240 minutes and sits on the $6 pack.
How big can an episode be, and do I need to split it?
Up to 10 hours or 5 GB in one file, so no episode needs splitting. A three-hour MP3 at 128 kbps is roughly 170 MB. Before the first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB; feed links need no upload at all.
What about te reo Māori or other languages on the show?
99 languages are detected without a setting, and each episode is detected on its main language. An English episode with te reo greetings or passages is transcribed as English, so read those passages against the audio before publishing them.
Which exports do I get, and is the audio used for anything else?
One run gives you TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete an episode and its transcript at any point.
Can I put the transcript on the episode page?
Yes. The DOCX or TXT is yours to publish, and the SRT or VTT file adds captions to a video version. Many shows post the chapter list with timestamps under the episode as well.
