Japanese · live shows · about 2 min per audio hour

Transcribe long 17LIVE shows from the streamer's own archive.

A 17LIVE show transcribes from the recording the streamer saved, with Japanese detected automatically, and a 2-hour show comes back in about 4 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a week of daily 2-hour shows (840 minutes) fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.

From the show to the text

The show is yours; the transcript is a record you can use again.

Where the recording comes from

A streamer usually keeps a copy by recording on the device or with capture software while going live. Use that file, usually an MP4; check your capture settings if you are unsure. If the upload refuses the show file, convert it to MP3 first. Screen recordings on a phone make large video files, so trimming the idle minutes before and after the show makes the upload quicker.

Talk over music

Live shows mix chat, singing and background tracks. The speech is transcribed; music and singing are not. Talk segments, fan questions and announcements come back clearly in the chapters.

A week of shows

A daily 2-hour show for a week is 7 × 120 = 840 minutes. That is past the $6 pack of 500, so the $12 pack of 2,000 fits it, with 1,160 minutes left for the following week. Going live for 2 hours every day for a month uses about 3,600 minutes, which belongs on the $24 pack of 5,000.

What a streamer gets

A brief of each show, chapters with timestamps, and the names and dates mentioned. Use it for a recap post for fans, subtitles on a clip you re-upload, or a list of what you promised to do next time. Fans who could not watch live get the gist from the brief in a minute or two.

Live-show recordings elsewhere

A two-hour show is too long for quick caption apps and too much to rewatch.

✗ The usual gap

Fans ask what happened and nobody wrote it down.

  • Whisper API uploads from OpenAI cap at 25 MB
  • Clip apps that stop after minutes
  • Rewatching to find an announcement
  • Fan questions forgotten after the show
  • Subtitles typed by hand
  • Show notes skipped entirely

✓ With the saved show

The whole show as text, in order.

  • Four minutes or so for 2 hours
  • Japanese detected for you
  • Chapters for each segment
  • Announcements in the brief
  • Subtitles as SRT or VTT
  • Opening 20 minutes at no cost

FAQ

17LIVE recordings, the common questions.

How long does a 2-hour show take to transcribe?

About 4 minutes, since processing takes about 2 minutes for every hour of audio. A 3-hour special takes about 6, and the upload depends on your connection more than on the transcription.

What does a week of shows cost?

The first 20 minutes are free on your first visit; a longer show is previewed, and a pack transcribes the rest from where the preview ended. One 2-hour show uses 120 minutes of the $6 pack of 500. A week of daily shows, 840 minutes, fits the $12 pack.

Is there a 17LIVE integration or bot?

No. WhipScribe has no integration with 17LIVE and nothing joins your show. It works on the recording you upload afterwards, and you should send only shows you have the right to use. The recording only has to be a file you can open on your own phone or computer.

How big can the show file be?

A file can reach 5 GB or 10 hours. Before the first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB, and a stream over 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account. A show longer than 10 hours goes in as two files.

My show mixes Japanese and English. Is that fine?

Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, and a show that switches language is detected on its main language with the switches handled.

What comes back, and who hears the show?

TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, with the brief, chapters and chat. Show recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
