Transcribe an Adobe Connect recording virtual classrooms and webinars.
An Adobe Connect class or webinar exported as an offline recording uploads here as a file, and a 3-hour session is transcribed in about 6 minutes, up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.
Out of the meeting room, into text
Adobe Connect keeps the class inside its own player. The words are more useful outside it.
Making an offline recording
Adobe Connect stores session recordings on its server, and the usual way to get a file is the offline recording option, which saves a video to your computer. Depending on the version, it plays the session through as it saves, so a long class can take about as long as the class itself. The result is usually an MP4; an older FLV may need a quick conversion first.
Six minutes per three hours
Once the file is here, it moves at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 90-minute webinar is ready in about 3 minutes and a full 3-hour virtual classroom in about 6, while the export itself is the slow part.

Notes students can search
Chapters follow the modules as the instructor moves through them, the brief lists the takeaways, and the questions the session answered are collected. Students can ask the chat what was said about a topic, and you can export DOCX for notes or SRT for the archive copy on the upload page.
When the class lives only in the player
The recording link works, but nobody can search a three-hour class for one answer.

FAQ
Adobe Connect recordings, answered.
Can I paste an Adobe Connect recording link?
No. A meeting-room recording link opens the Adobe Connect player, which this service cannot fetch. Make an offline recording or ask the account administrator for a downloaded copy, then upload it. If the session was also posted to YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive, that link can be pasted instead.
Which file type do I end up with?
Usually an MP4 from the offline recording. Some older setups produced FLV; if an FLV is refused, convert it to MP4 or extract the audio first. Audio-only files such as MP3 or M4A also upload.
How long does a 3-hour class take?
About 6 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 2-hour webinar takes about 4. The offline export from Adobe Connect usually takes far longer than the transcript.
What does a semester cost?
Fourteen weekly sessions of 2 hours are 1,680 minutes, which the $18 pack of 3,000 covers. Twenty-five 3-hour sessions reach 4,500 minutes, on the $32 pack of 6,000. Credits stay on the account until used.
Is there a size limit?
Each file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB. Before a pack is on the account, uploads up to 5 GB go through; heavier files need a split or their audio exported. Record with consent as the law where you are requires, and tell participants the session is recorded.
Does WhipScribe link to Adobe Connect?
No integration and no bot in the room. It works on the exported recording. 99 languages are detected automatically, exports are TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, and class recordings are processed on our own servers without being used for training.
