Transcribe a recorded class and study from the brief.
To transcribe a recorded class, drop the recording below or paste a link to it, and a two- or three-hour session comes back in a few minutes. The first 20 minutes are free; the $6 pack of 500 minutes transcribes the rest of a class that long and several more after it.
From recording to revision
A class you sat through once, ready to go over again.
Notes you did not have to take
The brief states the main point of the class and the takeaways under it. Read it before the next session and you know what was covered without replaying the audio.
Jump to the part you missed
Chapters split the session where the teacher changed subject, each with the timestamp it starts at. If you stepped out for ten minutes, the chapter list shows what happened while you were away.
Ask the class a question
There is a chat over the transcript. Ask when the deadline was announced or how the second example was solved, and the answer points you to the place in the class where it was said.
Any recorder, any length
Phone voice memo, laptop recording or the school's video capture all work. One file can run up to 10 hours, and a recording above 500 MB continues on the upload page.
Why a recording alone is not enough
Having the class on file and being able to use it are two different things.
✗ A class recording, left as is
Most recorded classes are never played back. Two hours of audio is too long to scrub through the night before a test.
- Replay at double speed hoping to hear the key part
- No way to search for a word the teacher said
- Notes from class that skip the second half
- Homework instructions buried somewhere in hour two
- Examples that went too fast to write down
- No record of what other students asked
✓ The same class, transcribed
Every word is searchable, and the session is already sorted into what was taught.
- A brief with the main point and the takeaways
- Chapters you can jump between
- Dates and numbers from the class listed
- Questions the session answered, in a list
- The examples written out in full
- A chat that finds the moment for you
Sample output
The announcements are in there too.
This sample is illustrative and was written for this page, not taken from a real class. It shows the kinds of lines that are easy to miss live and easy to find in a transcript.

FAQ
Recorded class transcription, answered.
How quickly is a recorded class transcribed?
Roughly 2 minutes for every hour of audio. A two-hour class is usually ready in about four minutes, a three-hour one in about six.
How much does a 2 or 3 hour class cost?
A 150-minute class uses 150 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the remainder with enough left for about two more classes of that length. There is no subscription to cancel later.
Is there a size limit for a class video?
Up to 5 GB per file. Until the first pack is on your account, uploads go up to 2 GB, and a bigger video starts after a pack is added. A class posted to YouTube or Google Drive can be pasted as a link instead.
The class was recorded in two parts. Do I join them first?
No. Upload each part as its own file and each gets its own transcript. If the class is one file, leave it whole; anything up to 10 hours goes in at once.
Can it handle a class taught in another language?
Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, so you upload without choosing a language.
How do I get the notes out, and is my recording private?
Export as DOCX to edit into notes, or as TXT, SRT, VTT or JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
