Transcribe a 3-hour lecture as one file, split by topic.
To transcribe a 3-hour lecture, drop the recording or paste its link below: it goes in whole and comes back in about 6 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes transcribes the remaining two hours and forty minutes with room for more lectures.
Built for the long session
Three hours of teaching, turned into something you can revise from.
The whole session, start to finish
Upload the lecture as the lecture capture system or your phone saved it. One file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so a three-hour block with a break in the middle is nowhere near the ceiling. A video file above 500 MB continues on the upload page.
Chapters that follow the syllabus
The transcript is divided into chapters, each with a title and the timestamp where the topic begins. A lecturer who moves from definitions to worked examples to a case study gives you three chapters you can jump between instead of one block of text.
Six minutes, give or take
Processing runs at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a three-hour lecture is usually ready in roughly six minutes. You can close the tab while it runs; the result stays in your Library.
What the lecture costs
Your first 20 minutes cost nothing. The other 160 minutes come from a $6 pack of 500 minutes, which leaves enough for two more lectures of similar length. Credits never expire, so the rest waits for next week.
Why three hours is different
A short clip and a three-hour lecture fail in different places.
✗ The usual way with a long lecture
Most tools were sized for a meeting. A lecture that runs past the usual cap turns into a file-management job before any reading starts.
- Cut the recording into hour-long pieces to get under a cap
- Lose the thread where one piece ends mid-sentence
- Get three separate texts with clocks that restart at zero
- Scroll the whole thing to find where the exam topic came up
- Rewrite the lecturer's examples by hand into notes
- Pay a monthly fee for one recording
✓ The same lecture here
The recording goes in as it is. What comes back is already organised around what was taught.
- One upload for all three hours
- Timestamps run from 00:00:00 to the last word
- Chapters mark where each topic starts
- A brief with the thesis and the main takeaways
- Names, numbers and dates said in class pulled out
- A one-time pack, no subscription required

FAQ
Three-hour lecture transcription, answered.
How long does a 3-hour lecture take to transcribe?
About six minutes. The usual rate is around 2 minutes per hour of audio, and a public run of 9.31 hours finished in 1,033 seconds. Upload time depends on your connection and is separate.
What does a 3-hour lecture cost?
Three hours is 180 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest. Packs are one-time purchases and the minutes never expire.
My lecture video is over 2 GB. Will it upload?
Yes, up to 5 GB per file. Before your first pack, uploads are accepted up to 2 GB; a larger file starts once a pack is on the account. If the lecture is on YouTube or Google Drive, paste the link and nothing has to upload at all.
Should I split the lecture at the break?
No need. One file can run up to 10 hours, so a three-hour lecture goes in whole and keeps a single timeline. Split only if a recording runs past 10 hours.
The lecture switches between English and another language. Does that work?
The language is detected automatically, with 99 supported, so you do not pick one before uploading. A lecture given mostly in one language is the most reliable case.
Which formats can I export, and who sees the recording?
Five formats: TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. DOCX is the easiest for study notes, and SRT or VTT add captions to the video. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
