AudioNote · lecture notes with audio · export, then upload

Transcribe AudioNote lecture recordings every word your notes skipped.

An AudioNote lecture recording transcribes once you export its audio from the app and upload it here, and a 75-minute lecture is full text in about 2 and a half minutes. The opening minutes are a free preview, and six 75-minute lectures (450 minutes) fit the $18 pack of 3,000 minutes.

Notes plus the full lecture

Your notes catch the headlines. The transcript catches everything between them.

Exporting the audio

AudioNote links what you type to the moment in the recording. To transcribe, export or share the recording itself from the notebook; check the app's share or export options, since they differ between the iPhone, iPad and Mac versions. Most audio formats upload as they are; if one is refused, convert it to MP3.

Matching it to your notes

Chapters come back with timestamps, so the moment you wrote a heading in AudioNote and the matching chapter sit at the same point in the lecture. Paste the brief at the top of your notes, and use the chat to ask what the lecturer said about a term you only half caught. Before an exam, ask the chat which topics the lecturer said would be examined, and it points to the chapters where that was said.

A semester, priced

Two 75-minute lectures a week for 14 weeks is 2,100 minutes. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire. One course with one lecture a week, 1,050 minutes, fits the $18 pack of 3,000.

Recording permission

Many lecturers allow recording for personal study, and some ask you not to share it. Check the course rules before recording, and keep the transcript for your own revision. When a lecture hall is noisy, sit near the front or place the device close to the speaker; a clear voice gives a cleaner transcript than any setting can.

Lecture recordings elsewhere

Recorded lectures rarely get replayed before the exam.

00:02:40 Last week we stopped at supply shocks. Today we connect them to inflation expectations.
00:21:15 Write this down: expectations matter because wages are set before prices move.
00:48:30 This diagram will appear on the exam in some form, so make sure you can draw it.
01:13:05 For next week, read chapter seven and try the three practice questions at the end.

FAQ

AudioNote recordings, answered.

Does WhipScribe sync with AudioNote?

No. There is no AudioNote integration. Export the recording from the app and upload the file, or save it to Google Drive and paste the share link.

How long does a 75-minute lecture take?

About 2 and a half minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. A 3-hour seminar comes back in about 6 minutes.

What does the first lecture cost?

Every recording starts with a free preview of its opening minutes. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.

Can it handle technical terms?

Terms come through as spoken, and the brief lists the names, numbers and dates said. Check formulas and symbols against the slides, since a spoken formula comes back as words. Lecturers who spell out a name or write it on the board usually get it right in the text, and the chat can list every term defined in the session.

What if my lecture is in another language?

99 languages are detected automatically. A lecture that switches between, say, Korean and English is detected on its main language, and English terms inside the speech are handled.

Is my recording private?

Lectures are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. You download TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON and can delete the recording from your Library.
