Transcribe a long Canon EOS R10 recording the whole event, session by session.
A 9-hour conference day filmed on a Canon EOS R10 is text in about 18 minutes, at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, as long as each file stays within 10 hours or 5 GB. The first 20 minutes are free, and the 540 minutes go past the $6 pack, so they fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 1,460 left.
From the back of the hall to the record
The camera sat at the back of the room all day. The transcript turns every session into something people can read.
Getting the clips
Canon cameras usually save MP4 clips under a DCIM folder on the SD card. A long event is rarely one file: the camera may stop or split a recording depending on the mode, the card and the battery, so expect several clips and check the manual if a take ends early.
One session per file
Uploading each clip separately gives one transcript per session, with its own chapters and timestamps. If you would rather have the whole day as one document, join the audio in an editor and export one file of 10 hours or less.
Big day, big files
Full-day video easily passes 2 GB, the limit before a first pack; with a pack on the account a file can be up to 5 GB. The audio alone, at 128 kbps, is about 520 MB for nine hours. This box takes up to 500 MB; anything bigger continues on the main upload page.
What the day turns into
Each session comes back with a brief, timestamped chapters, the names, numbers and dates said from the stage, and the questions the audience asked. Speakers are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and the text downloads as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON.
Event footage, usually
The conference was filmed from first keynote to last panel. The recordings wait for someone with a free week.

FAQ
Canon EOS R10 recordings: common questions
How long does a 9-hour event take?
About 18 minutes. A single 45-minute session takes about a minute and a half.
What does a two-day conference cost?
A first visit includes 20 free minutes and a preview of longer files. One 9-hour day, 540 minutes, needs the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Two days, 1,080 minutes, still fit that same pack with 920 left. Credits never expire.
The day ran 11 hours. Can I upload it as one?
No; one file can be up to 10 hours. Split it into two files, at a break for example, and send both. Each part comes back with its own chapters and timestamps, and the two transcripts read on as one day.
A clip is over 2 GB.
Before the first pack, files up to 2 GB upload; once a pack is on the account, up to 5 GB. Audio-only exports keep a long day small.
Is there a Canon integration?
No. WhipScribe does not connect to Canon's cameras or apps, and nothing runs inside them. Upload the clips, or paste a YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive link if the sessions are already posted.
Is the footage private?
Each session is transcribed on our own servers and never used for training. Talks in any of 99 languages are recognised without a setting. A team that films events every week can also look at the $19/month Workspace; for occasional events the one-time packs are usually the simpler choice.
