Transcribe a long Cleanfeed recording from the session you recorded in the browser.
A long Cleanfeed recording is transcribed by downloading the audio file the session saved in your browser and uploading it here, up to 10 hours or 5 GB. A 3-hour remote radio or podcast session comes back in about 6 minutes, with the first 20 minutes free and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covering the whole 180.
For radio and podcast producers
Cleanfeed carries the voices across the distance. The transcript turns the session into something you can cut, log and search.
Download, then upload
Cleanfeed records in the browser, so the file is downloaded from the session when you are done; check the recording options for whether it is saved as uncompressed audio or a compressed file. That download is what goes on the upload page.
The edit, planned on paper
Chapters with timestamps show where each guest joined and each topic began, so a producer can mark the cuts for a 3-hour session before opening the audio editor.
Contributors named
The presenter and every contributor are named in the summary, the key quotes and the chapters, which makes a programme log or episode notes quick to write.
Stings and beds left out
Jingles, music beds and idents are not transcribed; the speech over and around them is. The transcript reads as the conversation, not the playout.
Long remote sessions elsewhere
An uncompressed three-hour session is gigabytes, and most transcription tools stop well before that.
✗ The usual way
The session is saved, then someone listens back to write the log. The log is usually the job nobody has time for.
- Gigabyte-sized WAV files refused by upload boxes
- The OpenAI Whisper API's 25 MB ceiling
- Cutting the session into chunks to get text
- A programme log typed from playback
- No way to search last month's shows
- Per-minute quotes for long sessions
✓ The same session here
The download goes up as it is, and comes back as a log you can work from. A three-hour programme becomes a document the whole team can annotate.
- Text roughly 6 minutes after a 3-hour upload
- Chapters for each guest and topic
- Names, numbers and dates with timestamps
- WAV under 5 GB accepted as recorded
- DOCX for the running order
- A month of weekly shows on the $12 pack

FAQ
Cleanfeed recordings, answered.
How quickly is a 3-hour Cleanfeed session ready?
About 6 minutes, because processing runs near 2 minutes per audio hour.
How much does a weekly show cost?
First-time visitors get the first 20 minutes free, with the rest of a longer session previewed. A 3-hour session is 180 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Four weekly 3-hour shows are 720 minutes, which goes on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes and leaves 1,280.
How big is an uncompressed session?
WAV at 48 kHz, 16-bit stereo is 48,000 x 16 x 2 = 1,536 kbps, about 691 MB per hour, so 3 hours is near 2.07 GB. Before your first pack uploads go up to 2 GB, so that file starts once a pack is on the account; a mono or MP3 file is far smaller. The 5 GB limit is reached at about 7.2 hours of stereo WAV.
When do I need to split a session?
Only past 10 hours, or past 5 GB for uncompressed audio. Otherwise upload the session whole and let the chapters do the dividing. A late-night marathon that crosses 10 hours goes up as two files, first half and second half.
Can it handle a show in Afrikaans, Swedish or Hebrew?
Yes. All three are among the 99 languages WhipScribe detects automatically. A programme that moves between two languages is read on its main one with the switches kept.
Which exports come back, and who can listen to the session?
A session exports as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. WhipScribe has no connection to Cleanfeed; it only reads the file you download from it.
