Transcribe long Craig recordings from Discord the whole session as one mixed track.
A Craig recording of a long Discord session can be downloaded as a single mixed track and uploaded here, and a 5-hour session comes back as text in about 10 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the session uses 300 of the 500 minutes in the $6 pack.
From the voice channel to the recap
Craig captured every voice; the transcript turns the session into a recap.
Download the mixed track
Craig records each person in the voice channel as a separate track and gives you a download page when the recording ends. Choose the option that mixes everyone into one file; the formats offered are listed on that page, so check them there. Upload that single file on upload page.
Why one track, not many
Separate tracks would give you one transcript per person with no shared conversation. The mixed track keeps everyone on the same clock, and the summary, key quotes and chapters name each player where they matter in the recap.
A campaign on one pack
A 5-hour session is 300 minutes on the $6 pack, leaving 200. A campaign of ten 4-hour sessions is 2,400 minutes, more than the $12 pack holds, so the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes is the one to buy, at $0.29 an audio hour.
Nothing joins your server
WhipScribe has no Discord bot and does not join your voice channel. Craig is a separate bot you invite yourself; WhipScribe only reads the file you download afterwards. The next session can open with a recap read from the brief, and the list of names and numbers keeps track of every character, place and debt the table has met.
Discord recordings elsewhere
A five-hour voice session is easy to record and very hard to recap.

FAQ
Craig recordings, the common questions.
How long does a 5-hour Craig recording take?
Close to 10 minutes, since each audio hour takes about 2 minutes. The proof page shows a 4.94-hour file done in 372 seconds.
What does a session cost, and a campaign?
The first 20 minutes are free on a first visit; a longer session is previewed and a pack from $6 transcribes the rest from where the preview ended. Five hours use 300 of the $6 pack's 500 minutes; a 2,400-minute campaign needs the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.
Can I upload each player's track instead?
You can, but each would come back as its own transcript. The mixed track gives one transcript of the whole table, which is what a recap needs.
The session ran over 10 hours. What then?
Each file may be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so split a longer recording into two files in an audio editor. Most sessions fit in one.
Does everyone have to agree to the recording?
Yes. Recording a call needs the consent the law where you are requires, so tell the channel before Craig starts. Whatever language the table speaks, from 99 supported, is detected on its own.
Which formats come back, and is the session private?
The recap downloads as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training; delete the file and its transcript goes with it.
