Transcribe a long DJI Mic 2 recording the transmitter's own WAV.
A DJI Mic 2 transmitter records internally as 32-bit float WAV, about 690 MB per hour, and that file uploads here and comes back as text in about 2 minutes per audio hour. The first 20 minutes are free, and a nine-hour shoot of 540 minutes needs the $12 pack of 2,000, sent as two files because nine hours of float WAV passes 5 GB.
The transmitter kept a copy
The receiver fed the camera. The transmitter recorded everything on its own. That is the clean file.
Copy it off the transmitter
Connect a DJI Mic 2 transmitter to a computer with a USB-C cable and its internal recordings appear as WAV files. Copy the session you need and drop it on upload page; there is no app step in between.
Float files are big
A mono 48 kHz, 32-bit float WAV is about 690 MB an hour. Three hours is just over 2 GB, the limit before your first pack, and eight hours passes the 5 GB ceiling, so long shoots need either a pack, a split, or a smaller copy.
Make a smaller copy
32-bit float protects against clipping on set; it adds nothing to a transcript. Saving the file as 16-bit WAV, FLAC or MP3 in an audio editor cuts it to a half or much less, and the words come back the same.
A full shoot day, priced
Nine hours on one transmitter is 540 minutes. That is more than the $6 pack's 500, so it goes on the $12 pack of 2,000, leaving 1,460 minutes for the next shoot.
Why long float files get refused
The file that saved the shoot is also the file most services will not take.
✗ Generic upload limits
Float WAVs from a long day overrun the upload limits most tools are built around.
- A 25 MB cap like the OpenAI Whisper API's
- A six-hour file far past most free caps
- Camera audio used instead of the clean lav
- Hand-logging takes for the editor
- No timestamps to sync quotes
- A plan bought for one project
✓ The transmitter WAV, transcribed
A clean lav track becomes a log the editor can search.
- Up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file
- About 2 minutes per hour of audio
- Speakers named in the summary and quotes
- Timestamps from the start of the file
- SRT and VTT exports
- Pay per minute, no expiry

FAQ
DJI Mic 2 recordings, the common questions.
How long does a long DJI Mic 2 file take?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio after upload, so a three-hour interview takes about six minutes and a nine-hour day about 18.
What does a full shoot day cost?
A nine-hour day is 540 minutes, which needs the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A three-hour interview of 180 minutes fits the $6 pack of 500. On a first recording, the opening 20 minutes cost nothing.
My float WAV is over 5 GB. What now?
Either split it into two files at a natural break, or save a 16-bit or MP3 copy, which brings a nine-hour file well under the limit. The limits are 10 hours or 5 GB per file, and 2 GB before the first pack.
I used two transmitters. Which file do I send?
Each transmitter records its own WAV. Send the one with the voice you need, send both for two transcripts, or mix them in your editor into one file so the conversation is transcribed once.
What languages can the speakers use?
99 languages, detected automatically. Hebrew, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese and Swedish are among them, and a speaker who switches between English and Tagalog is handled in one file.
Which exports come back, and is the footage audio private?
Pick from TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete any file and its transcript at any time.
