Transcribe a long RØDE Wireless GO II recording the backup track becomes the transcript.
A RØDE Wireless GO II transmitter's on-board recording, exported through RØDE Central as a WAV file, uploads here as it is, and a two-hour interview comes back in about four minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest of that interview several times over.
From clip-on mic to text
The transmitter recorded the interview even when the camera did not. Use that file.
Getting the file out
With on-board recording switched on, each transmitter keeps its own copy of what it heard. Connect it by USB, export the recording from RØDE Central as a WAV file, and send that file from upload page.
Two transmitters, two tracks
An interview with two people on two transmitters produces two files, one per microphone, each with the other voice faintly in the background. Upload both for two transcripts, or mix them into one file in an editor and pay for the interview's length once.
What a long WAV weighs
A mono 48 kHz, 24-bit WAV is roughly 520 MB an hour, so a two-hour interview is about 1 GB. That uploads before any pack, since the limit then is 2 GB, and the ceiling after a pack is 5 GB or 10 hours.
Quotes ready for the edit
Speakers are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and every line has a timestamp. Paste a quote's time into your editing timeline, or download SRT or VTT to lay captions over the cut.
Why interview audio stalls
The audio is clean. Turning two hours of it into searchable text is the slow part.
✗ Logging by ear
Producers often scrub through the take to find the quotes worth using.
- Hours of scrubbing for a few lines
- Camera audio only, with the mic track unused
- Clip-length limits on free apps
- Two tracks transcribed twice by accident
- No timestamps to match the edit
- Quotes retyped by hand
✓ The on-board WAV, transcribed
A clean lavalier track becomes a searchable log of the whole interview.
- About 2 minutes per audio hour
- Speakers named in the summary and quotes
- Timestamps that match the recording
- SRT and VTT for captions
- First 20 minutes free
- Packs from $6, minutes kept for good

FAQ
RØDE Wireless GO II recordings, answered.
How long does a two-hour Wireless GO II interview take?
About four minutes after upload, since transcription runs at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. A five-hour shoot comes back in about ten, and you can leave the page while it runs.
What does a two-hour interview cost?
That interview is 120 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free on your first recording, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the remainder. Uploading both transmitter tracks separately counts 240 minutes, which still fits that pack.
Should I upload one track or both?
If you want a single transcript, mix the two transmitter files into one in an editor and upload that. If each person's track is clean enough on its own, uploading both gives you two transcripts of the same conversation, each strongest on its own speaker.
How long or large can one file be?
Ten hours or 5 GB per file, and 2 GB before the first pack. A longer shoot that runs past 10 hours goes up as two files.
What languages can the interview be in?
Any of the 99 languages we detect automatically. Interviews in Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew or Tagalog are transcribed in the language spoken, and an interview that moves between English and Tagalog is handled in one file.
What exports are there, and how is the audio handled?
You can take TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and deleting a recording removes its transcript too.
