Transcribe Evernote audio notes the long meetings you attached.
Evernote keeps recorded audio as an attachment inside a note, and downloading that attachment gives you the file to upload here. A 3-hour meeting recorded into Evernote comes back as text in about 6 minutes, with the first 20 minutes free and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covering the rest.
From an attachment to minutes
The meeting is attached to a note. Turn it into the minutes nobody wrote.
Download the attachment
Open the note, find the audio attachment and use its menu to download or save it; on a computer, right-clicking the attachment usually offers this. The file lands in your Downloads folder or where you choose to save it. Check the extension; the format depends on the device that recorded it.
Upload it here
Drag the downloaded file into the box on a computer, or pick it from Files on a phone. If the upload refuses the file, convert it to MP3 first, then try again. No Evernote account link or plugin is involved.
WAV files are bigger
Uncompressed audio grows fast: 16-bit mono at 44.1 kHz is 705.6 kbps, about 317.5 MB an hour (705,600 bits a second times 3,600 seconds, divided by 8). A 3-hour WAV is about 950 MB, still within the 2 GB that uploads before your first pack.
A 3-hour meeting, priced
A meeting of three hours uses 180 minutes. The first 20 are free for a first-time visitor, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes transcribes the rest, keeping 320 minutes for the next meeting.
Why attached meetings go unread
The meeting was recorded and attached. Nobody has listened since.
✗ A meeting stuck in an attachment
A long meeting is attached to a note with a few bullets typed at the start. The decisions came later, in hour two, and they are only in the audio.
- Bullets that stop after the first agenda item
- Decisions only in the recording
- Action owners never written down
- Three hours to replay for one answer
- Attachments nobody else opens
- No way to search across meetings
✓ Minutes from the recording
Upload the attachment and get a brief, chapters per agenda item and a list of the dates and numbers said.
- Three hours readable in about 6 minutes
- Speakers named in the brief and key quotes
- Decisions and owners easy to find
- Timestamps for checking exact wording
- Ask the transcript who agreed to what
- DOCX to paste back into the note

About 6 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour. A one-hour meeting is ready in around 2 minutes after the upload.
What does a year of weekly meetings cost?
Fifty-two meetings of one hour are 3,120 minutes, above 2,000, so the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes fits and leaves 1,880. Teams that record every week also have the option of the $19/month Workspace.
Do attendees need to agree to the recording?
Recording a meeting or a call needs the consent the law where you are requires, and many organisations add rules of their own. Announce the recording when the meeting starts.
What is the largest file I can upload?
One file up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and up to 2 GB before your first pack; a file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account. A meeting longer than 10 hours is uploaded as two parts.
Can it handle meetings in other languages?
Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, including Portuguese, Swedish and Afrikaans, and a meeting that switches between English and Tagalog is handled in one transcript.
Is the meeting private, and what exports are there?
Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and the meeting and its transcript can be deleted at any time. The minutes download as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON.
