Transcribe long recordings a client sent by Filemail delivered as text, not as hours of audio.
To transcribe long recordings a client sent by Filemail, download them from the transfer before it expires and upload each file here; three recordings totalling eleven hours are text in about 22 minutes. Those 660 minutes go past the $6 pack's 500, so the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers the job with 1,340 left.
From a client transfer to a deliverable
The client sent hours of recording. Send them back a transcript.
Getting the files out of the transfer
Filemail sends a download link by email, and the transfer stays available for a limited number of days set by the sender. Download right away. Several files may arrive as one archive; unzip it and upload each recording separately. For very large transfers, Filemail offers its own desktop app, which can be steadier than the browser.
One upload per recording
Each file becomes its own transcript, with its own brief and chapters, which is usually how a client wants the work delivered. A transfer of eleven hours is no problem as three files, and any single file can run up to 10 hours. Send the next file from the box above, or queue them from the upload page.
Before the client asks for a quote
Add up the hours, then pick the pack. Eleven hours is 660 minutes, which needs the $12 pack of 2,000. A client sending a weekly recording of four hours over a quarter, about 52 hours or 3,120 minutes, fits the $24 pack of 5,000. Packs are one-time purchases with nothing to cancel.
What you can hand back
Each recording returns with a brief stating the thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, the names, numbers and dates said aloud, and the questions the recording answers. Everyone who speaks is identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters. Send the client a DOCX, or SRT and VTT if the job is subtitles.
Where client recordings slow the work down
The transfer took minutes. The typing would take a week.

- Chapters and timestamps per file
- Key quotes with speakers named

FAQ
Filemail recordings, answered.
How long do eleven hours of client recordings take?
About 22 minutes after uploading, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. Each file finishes on its own, so the first transcript is usually ready before the last file has uploaded.
How much will the job cost?
Eleven hours is 660 minutes, which needs the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes and leaves 1,340. A single four-hour file is 240 minutes of the $6 pack of 500. Credits never expire.
Can I paste the Filemail link?
No, Filemail links are not fetched. Download the files, then upload them. YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Kick, Google Drive and podcast feeds are the links that work when pasted.
One file in the transfer is over 2 GB. Will it upload?
Yes, once a pack is on the account: files over 2 GB start after the first pack, up to 5 GB or 10 hours each. Without a pack, extract the audio first, which is usually a small fraction of the video's size.
Does the client's language matter?
No. Detection covers 99 languages automatically. If people in the recording switch between languages, detection follows the main language and the switches are handled.
How are client recordings handled?
Client files are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Delete the recordings and transcripts once the work is delivered.
