Transcribe long sessions recorded through a Focusrite Scarlett export one file, then upload it.
A Focusrite Scarlett is an audio interface, so a long session lives in your DAW as tracks until you export it as one WAV or MP3, and a 4-hour session uploaded here comes back as text in about 8 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the 240 minutes fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 260 remaining.
From the DAW to the page
An interface records into a project, not a file. One export turns the project into something to upload.
Export, do not upload the project
A DAW keeps a session as a project with separate audio files per track and take. Use the program's export, bounce or mixdown command to render the full timeline to a single file; the menu name differs between Reaper, Audition, Logic, Ableton and GarageBand. That rendered file is what goes on upload page.
Pick an export that fits
File size is bitrate multiplied by length. A stereo 24-bit, 48 kHz export is about 1.04 GB an hour, so 4 hours is roughly 4.1 GB: under the 5 GB limit, but it needs a pack on the account. A mono 16-bit, 48 kHz export is about 346 MB an hour, about 1.4 GB for the same session.
Long sessions that are mostly speech
Rehearsal talk-throughs, recorded workshops, panel discussions and two-mic podcasts all pass through a Scarlett. Speech is transcribed and music is not, so a band rehearsal returns the conversation between songs, not the lyrics sung over the instruments.
What you get back
The session returns with a brief, chapters with timestamps, and the names, numbers and dates said. People who spoke are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters. For a rehearsal that means the notes the director gave and the bar numbers mentioned.
DAW sessions elsewhere
A multitrack project is not a file any transcription service can read.

FAQ
Focusrite Scarlett recordings, the common questions.
How long does a 4-hour Scarlett session take?
Roughly 8 minutes, at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. The proof page shows a 9.31-hour file completed in 1,033 seconds.
What will a 4-hour session cost me?
A newcomer's first 20 minutes are free. The 240 minutes fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes, and two such sessions use 480 of them. Eight sessions of 4 hours, 1,920 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.
Which export format should I choose?
WAV or MP3 both work. MP3 at 128 kbps is about 58 MB an hour and transcribes speech just as well as WAV. Should the upload refuse a file, convert it to MP3 first.
The session is over 10 hours. Now what?
A single file is capped at 10 hours or 5 GB. Export the session as two files split at a natural break, such as lunch, and upload both; each comes back with its own timestamps.
Can the speech be in Swedish or Afrikaans?
Yes. Both are among 99 languages detected automatically. A session where people switch between two languages is detected on its main one.
Which exports can I download, and who hears the session?
Choose from TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, so unreleased material stays with you. Nothing installs in your DAW; you export and upload.
