Liberty court audio · all channels mixed

Transcribe a long Liberty court recording with every microphone in it.

Liberty court recordings carry several microphone channels, so export the sitting as one standard audio file, WAV or MP3, with all channels mixed together, or ask the court for a copy in that form, and upload it. A seven-hour sitting takes about 14 minutes, the first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the other 400.

Packs from $6, credits never expire · then from $0.36/hour · Credits never expire · Never used to train AI
✓Seven hours in about 14 minutes · ✓First 20 minutes free · ✓Ten hours fit in one file · ✓Hearings stay out of model training

From multichannel audio to text

Every microphone in the room, folded into one timeline you can search.

Export a mix, not a channel

A multichannel recording keeps each microphone on its own track. If you export only one, the transcript hears only the people near it. Choose the option that mixes all channels into a single mono or stereo file, then upload that.

When you only have the original file

If what you received only opens in Liberty's own software, use its export or save-as option to make a WAV or MP3, or ask the court office for the audio in a standard format. We cannot read the original multichannel file directly.

Sittings and sizes

A sitting of seven hours as a 16-bit mono WAV is well under 2 GB, so it uploads before any pack. Up to 10 hours or 5 GB goes in as one file; a hearing over several days goes in as one file per day.

What the text is for

You get a brief, chapters for each session and witness, and the names, numbers and dates spoken; the bench, counsel and witnesses are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters. Treat the result as a working document, an AI transcript with timestamps rather than a certified court transcript; it stands in for no court reporter and gives no legal advice.

Why multichannel court audio is hard to use

Several microphones, software that opens one format, and sittings that run all day.

✗ The common problems

Court audio is captured carefully, but getting it into a form you can search takes more steps than it should.

  • A file that opens only in the court's player
  • One channel exported, half the room missing
  • A seven-hour sitting refused by short-file tools
  • Listening back to check one witness's words
  • Timestamps noted by hand from the player
  • A subscription for one matter

✓ One mixed export, one transcript

Mix every channel, export once, upload once, and the sitting returns as text with a timestamp on every line.

  • Seven hours back in about 14 minutes
  • All channels mixed into one export
  • One file per sitting day
  • 500 minutes for $6 with nothing recurring
  • Sections split by witness and session
  • TXT, DOCX and caption files from one run

Illustrative only: the lines were written for this page and come from no real proceeding. Timestamps run from the start of the mixed export.

FAQ

Liberty court recordings, the common questions.

How long does a sitting take to transcribe?

Roughly 2 minutes of processing for every audio hour. Seven hours comes back in about 14 minutes; the 4.94-hour run on our public proof page finished in 372 seconds.

What does a multi-day hearing cost?

A seven-hour sitting is 420 minutes: 20 free for a first-time visitor, 400 from a $6 pack of 500. Three seven-hour days come to 1,260 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 with 740 to spare.

Do I upload each channel separately?

No. Upload one file with all channels mixed. Separate channel files would each come back as a partial transcript with only some of the voices.

How big can the file be?

Up to 2 GB before the first pack, and up to 5 GB or 10 hours once a pack is on the account, whichever limit comes first.

A sitting ran longer than 10 hours. How is it sent?

Export it as two files, divided at a recess, and upload both. Each becomes its own transcript with its own timeline.

Which languages and formats, and is the hearing kept private?

99 languages are recognised without a setting. Downloads cover plain text, Word, two caption formats and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and the recording and its transcript can be deleted from your Library at any time.
