Transcribe LINE voice messages and calls in Japanese or any of 99 languages.
To transcribe a LINE voice message or a group call you recorded, save the audio and upload it here, up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file; a 3-hour group call comes back as text in about 6 minutes, with Japanese detected automatically. Ten such calls, 1,800 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, after the first 20 minutes free on your first visit.
From LINE to text
LINE is where the long conversations happen; the recording is how they reach a page.
Saving what LINE holds
A voice message can be saved from the chat to your phone or computer; check the message menu for the save option, since it varies by device and version. A group call is recorded on one participant's own phone or computer, and the file lands wherever that recorder saves it. WhipScribe has no account link, bot or plug-in in LINE.
Consent on every call
Before recording, get the consent the law where you are requires. Tell the group the call is being recorded before it starts, so everyone has the chance to agree or leave.
Japanese, English and the switches
The language is detected automatically from 99 languages, Japanese among them, with no setting to change. A call that moves between Japanese and English is detected on its main language, and the switches are handled, which suits teams that work across both.
Ten long calls, worked out
A 3-hour group call is 180 minutes, which fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes on its own. Ten of them make 1,800 minutes, so the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes is the one to buy, at $0.36 an audio hour with 200 minutes left.
Long LINE audio elsewhere

FAQ
LINE voice messages and calls, answered.
How long does a 3-hour LINE call take?
Roughly 6 minutes, because an audio hour takes about 2 minutes to process. A short voice message is usually ready within a minute.
What does a run of long calls cost?
A first visit takes the opening 20 minutes of the call free. One 3-hour call fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes; ten of them, 1,800 minutes, belong on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. All prices are in US dollars, and credits never expire.
How large can a LINE recording be?
Up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file, and before the first pack up to 2 GB. If the upload refuses a saved voice message, convert it to MP3 first.
Can I put several voice messages into one document?
Join them in order in an audio editor and upload one file for a single document with chapters, or upload each message for its own brief.
Does it understand Japanese, Thai or English?
Yes, all three are among the 99 languages detected automatically, so a Bangkok office call or an English team meeting works the same way as a Japanese one. When a LINE recording switches language, the main language decides the detection and the switches are still handled.
What can I export, and is the call private?
LINE recordings export to TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, for a LINE call as for any other file.
