From the call to text
Whoever recorded the call holds the file, and that file is all WhipScribe needs.
Where a Viber recording comes from
A long Viber call is usually recorded by the person on one end, with a recorder on the phone or computer, so the file lands wherever that recorder saves it. A voice message can be saved from the chat; check the message menu on your device for the save option. WhipScribe is not part of Viber, and no bot ever joins your call.
Consent comes first
Recording a call needs the consent that the law where you are requires, and the law where the other person is may differ. Ask at the start, and let the agreement be the first thing on the recording.
Twenty calls on one pack
A 75-minute call uses 75 minutes of credit. Six of them, 450 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes; twenty of them, 1,500 minutes, belong on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes at $0.36 an audio hour, with 500 minutes left over.
A record of what was agreed
Each call returns a brief of the thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, and every name, number and date that was said. Both callers are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, so you can check what was promised without replaying the call.

FAQ
Viber calls and voice messages, answered.
How long does a 75-minute Viber call take?
About 2.5 minutes, since processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. A 3-hour call would take about 6 minutes.
What do many calls cost?
Your first 20 minutes are free on your first visit. Six 75-minute calls fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes, and twenty fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Packs are one-time, and credits never expire.
What size can the file be?
One file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and before your first pack uploads go up to 2 GB. Call recordings and voice messages are usually far smaller. Convert the file to MP3 first if the upload refuses it.
My recorder split the call into several files. What now?
Upload each part, or join them in order in an audio editor and upload a single file so the call sits on one clock with its own chapters.
We speak Ukrainian, Russian or Tagalog on the call. Does that work?
Yes. The language is detected automatically from 99 languages, and a call that switches between two of them is detected on its main one with the switches handled.
Which exports come back, and who hears our call?
Calls come back as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training; a family call stays a family call.
