Transcribe KakaoTalk voice talk recordings Korean group calls, read in minutes.
To transcribe a KakaoTalk voice talk, upload the recording made on one participant's phone or computer, or a voice message saved from the chat, up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file; a 100-minute group voice talk comes back as text in under 4 minutes, with Korean detected automatically. Five talks of 100 minutes use exactly the 500 minutes of the $6 pack, after the first 20 minutes free on your first visit.
From voice talk to text
A long group voice talk becomes notes the whole chat room can read.
Where the recording comes from
A group voice talk is recorded on a participant's own device, so the file lands wherever that recorder or screen recorder saves it. A voice message can be saved from the chat room; look for the save option on the message, which depends on your device. WhipScribe has no bot or plug-in in KakaoTalk and only reads the file you upload.
Agreement before recording
Recording a call needs the consent the law where you are requires. Announce the recording when the voice talk opens, so every member hears it and can say no.
Five talks, one pack
A 100-minute voice talk uses 100 minutes of credit, so five of them use exactly the 500 minutes of the $6 pack. A study group meeting twice a week for a month, eight talks or 800 minutes, belongs on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 1,200 minutes left.
Korean notes with names
Each talk returns a brief of what was decided, chapters with timestamps, and every name, number and date said. Members are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and a chat over the transcript answers questions such as which day the group settled on.

A 100-minute voice talk is easy to hold and easy to forget.

FAQ
KakaoTalk voice talk, answered.
How long does a 100-minute voice talk take?
Under 4 minutes, at about 2 minutes per audio hour. The proof page shows a 2.48-hour file completed in 200 seconds.
What do several long voice talks cost?
A newcomer's first 20 minutes of voice talk are free. Five 100-minute talks use exactly the $6 pack of 500 minutes; eight talks, 800 minutes, belong on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Prices are in US dollars.
Is there a limit on the recording's size?
Each file may be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and before the first pack up to 2 GB. A screen recording of the call is larger than an audio file, so record audio only if you can. Converting it to MP3 first fixes a file the upload refuses.
The talk was recorded in two parts. Do I join them?
Join them in an audio editor for one document on one clock, or upload both parts and get a brief for each.
Does it work in Korean, and with English mixed in?
Korean is detected automatically, one of 99 languages. A talk that switches between Korean and English is detected on its main language, and the switches are handled.
Which exports are there, and is the talk private?
Voice talks export as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, including a study group's or a family's voice talk.
