OPPO phones · lectures of 1.5 to 3 hours

Transcribe OPPO Recorder recordings and study from text instead of a sound file.

A 3-hour lecture recorded with the OPPO Recorder app comes back as searchable text in about 6 minutes, with chapters per topic and the terms, formulas and dates your lecturer said listed by timestamp. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers two full 3-hour lectures.

Packs from $6, credits never expire · then from $0.36/hour · Credits never expire · Never used to train AI
✓Shared straight from the phone · ✓A 3-hour lecture in one file · ✓Taglish professors understood · ✓Class audio stays out of model training

For students recording on OPPO phones

A semester of recordings on your phone is only useful if you can find the part the exam will ask about.

A brief before the long review

The thesis of the lecture and its takeaways come first, so you can see in a minute what a 3-hour class covered before deciding which chapter to read.

Terms with the minute they were said

Definitions, formulas, names and dates said aloud are pulled out with timestamps, which lets you replay the professor's own explanation of one term.

A list of questions the class settled

The brief lists the questions the class answered, a ready set of practice questions for the week before the exam.

From the share button to the text

Share the file from the Recorder app to your browser or Google Drive, then use the upload page or paste the Drive link.

Why replaying fails

Listening back to every class at normal speed doubles the hours you spend on one subject.

✗ Studying from the audio

A phone on the desk records everything, but a sound file cannot be searched, skimmed or highlighted.

  • Hours of replay to find one definition
  • Handwriting that falls behind a fast lecturer
  • Recordings piling up in phone storage
  • No way to share notes with classmates
  • Taglish explanations that captions mangle
  • Rewinding the same ten seconds again

✓ That lecture, uploaded here

The recording becomes text you can search, with the structure of the class drawn out.

  • A timed chapter for every topic
  • Each term tied to its minute
  • Practice questions from the lecture
  • Taglish explanations in one transcript
  • A DOCX your study group can open
  • Two long lectures per $6 pack

Sample output

A lecture that moves between English and Filipino.

Composed for this page to show the format; it is not a recording of a real class or lecturer.

FAQ

OPPO Recorder recordings, answered.

Where is the recording on my OPPO phone?

Open the Recorder app, find the recording in its list and use the share option; that is the safest route, because the folder name differs between phone models and software versions. You can also look in the Files app under a recordings folder. The app's settings show which audio format it saves in.

How quickly does a long lecture come back, and on which pack?

About 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 90-minute class takes around 3 minutes and a 3-hour one around 6. A subject that meets once a week for 3 hours over 10 weeks uses 1,800 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Two 90-minute classes a week across a 16-week semester come to 2,880 minutes, which belongs on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.

Is a 3-hour recording too big to upload?

Rarely. A compressed recording at 128 kbps takes 128 × 3,600 = 460,800 kilobits an hour, about 58 MB, so 3 hours is close to 175 MB. One file may run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and before your first pack uploads go up to 2 GB, so you never need to split a lecture.

Can it handle a professor who teaches in Taglish?

Yes. Tagalog and Filipino are detected automatically, switches between them and English inside one class are handled, and English-only lectures come back cleanly. A class taught in Cebuano or another regional language is supported, but plan one review pass because the text is a fast first draft.

Should I ask before recording a class?

Yes. Record only lectures your lecturer allows you to record, and keep the text for your own study unless they agree to more. Sit near the front, keep the phone flat on the desk and away from your own keyboard, and switch off notification sounds so the lecture is not interrupted by your own phone.

Which files can I download, and who else sees my lectures?

TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON with timestamps kept. Lectures are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and each one can be deleted with its transcript whenever you like.
