Transcribe long recordings from a Panasonic Lumix G9 II including the full day the camera was left running.
A 5-hour talk or conference session recorded on a Panasonic Lumix G9 II is transcribed in about 10 minutes once you upload its audio or a light export, or paste a Google Drive link, at up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor, and the 300 minutes fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 200 remaining.
A camera left rolling all day
Micro Four Thirds bodies get set on a tripod at the back of the room and left to record. That leaves you with hours of speech in very large files.
Card or external drive
Depending on settings, the G9 II can write video to its cards and, in some modes, to an external SSD over USB-C; check the manual for your firmware. Files are usually MOV or MP4. Wherever they landed, copy them to a computer and send the audio, or upload a file directly if it is under 5 GB.
Very long, very large
Event footage in a high-bitrate mode runs to about 45 GB an hour at 100 Mbps, so a 5-hour day could top 225 GB. The 5 GB limit means the useful move is an audio export: as a 128 kbps MP3, five hours is about 288 MB, inside the 500 MB box here; larger exports finish on upload page.
A day of several speakers
A conference session with a host, three panelists and audience questions returns with chapters for each talk, the speakers named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and the names, numbers and dates said on stage. Audience mics that were never fed into the camera will be faint, so plug the venue's mixer output in if you can.
Over 10 hours in one day
A file can be up to 10 hours. If the camera recorded a 12-hour day as one continuous take, export it as two files split at the lunch break and upload both; each returns with timestamps measured from its own start.
Event recordings elsewhere
The talks were recorded. Nobody has time to watch five hours to write the recap.

FAQ
Lumix G9 II recordings, answered.
How long does a 5-hour G9 II recording take?
About 10 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 9.31-hour file completed in 1,033 seconds is on the public proof page.
What does a three-day conference cost?
Three days of 6 hours each make 18 hours, 1,080 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 920 left for the next event. A single 5-hour day fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
Can I send the original video file?
If it is 5 GB or less, yes, and 2 GB or less before your first pack. Long event footage almost never is, so export the audio track as MP3 or M4A first.
The camera ran for 11 hours. What do I do?
Export it as two files, for example morning and afternoon, and upload both. The limit is 10 hours or 5 GB per file.
Will a multilingual panel be transcribed?
99 languages are detected automatically. A session that moves between two languages is transcribed on its main language, so a long stretch in a second language is worth exporting separately.
Is the recording kept private, and is there a Panasonic connection?
Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. WhipScribe has no integration with the camera or Panasonic's apps; you send the file or a link.
