Transcribe Pinecast podcast episodes including the four-hour specials.
Paste a Pinecast show's RSS feed or upload its MP3, and a 4-hour marathon episode is transcribed in about 8 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, that episode uses 240 of the 500 minutes in the $6 pack, and 30 episodes averaging 65 minutes, 1,950 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000.
Marathon episodes included
Some episodes run for hours. They should still come back as one transcript.
Paste the feed
Pinecast publishes each podcast as an RSS feed for podcast apps; the feed address is usually shown in the podcast's settings. Paste it, choose the episode, and the audio is fetched for you. An episode you have not published yet goes in as an uploaded MP3.
Four hours, one clock
A marathon or live-recorded special is uploaded as one file, up to 10 hours. The transcript keeps a single set of timestamps from the cold open to the outro, so chapters line up with the published episode. A 4-hour MP3 at 128 kbps is about 230 MB, far inside the 2 GB that uploads before a pack.
Thirty episodes, priced
Thirty episodes averaging 65 minutes come to 1,950 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 50 left. One 4-hour special fits the $6 pack of 500. A back catalogue larger than 2,000 minutes goes on the $24 pack of 5,000.
What comes back
A brief with a thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, guests named in the summary and quotes, and the questions the episode answers. Intro music, ad stingers and sound effects are left out of the text. Drop the first file on upload page to see the format.

FAQ
Pinecast episodes, answered.
Can a 4-hour episode go in as one file?
Yes. One file may last up to 10 hours or weigh up to 5 GB. Past 10 hours, send two files. A special recorded live on stage keeps the audience questions that were picked up by the microphone; crowd noise and applause are left out.
How long does it take?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio: a 4-hour special in around 8 minutes, a 65-minute episode in a little over 2. Each key quote carries the minute it was said, so show notes can link straight to that point in the episode.
What does a back catalogue cost?
Thirty 65-minute episodes, 1,950 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A single special fits the $6 pack of 500. First-time visitors get the first 20 minutes free. Prices are in US dollars, paid once per pack, and the credits never expire.
Is there a Pinecast integration?
No. There is no integration, sign-in or plugin. Paste the public feed or upload the file; your Pinecast account and its settings stay as they are.
What about a private or tip-jar episode?
If an episode is not in the public feed, upload the MP3 you published. Feeds that need a login cannot be fetched.
Which languages and exports, and who sees the audio?
Any of 99 languages, detected automatically. Exports are TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Episodes are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
