Transcribe a Plaud Note recording on a pack, not a plan.
A Plaud Note recording reaches WhipScribe as the audio file you export from the Plaud app, uploaded like any other recording. A six-hour day of meetings is transcribed in about 12 minutes, the first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest with no subscription.
Out of the card recorder
Export the audio once. Keep the transcript on your terms.
Export the audio file
Once the recording has transferred from the device to the Plaud app, open it and use the app's export or share option for the audio. Save the file to the phone or send it to a computer, then choose it in the upload box above.
Any common format is fine
Whether the export arrives as MP3, WAV or another standard audio format, it uploads here without conversion. Files up to 500 MB go in the box on this page; larger ones go in from the upload page, and the per-file ceiling is 10 hours or 5 GB.
A long day, quickly
At about 2 minutes per hour of audio, a six-hour day of back-to-back meetings is ready in about 12 minutes and a three-hour client session in about 6.
Pay for the hours you record
Packs are one-time: $6 for 500 minutes, $12 for 2,000, $24 for 5,000, and the credits never expire. Someone who records a few long days a month pays for those hours and nothing in the quiet months.
When the recorder's own text is not enough
A small recorder captures everything. The text should keep up.
✗ Common sticking points
A card recorder makes it easy to record for hours, and long recordings bring their own problems.
- A monthly plan for minutes you may not use
- A day's recording that has to be cut up
- Notes in one language when the meeting used two
- No subtitle file for a recorded presentation
- Timestamps that are hard to check against the audio
- Transcripts you cannot take elsewhere
✓ With the exported audio here
One file per recording, with the output you choose. The device and its app keep doing what they do; this only takes the exported audio.
- Two minutes or so for each meeting hour
- Up to 10 hours in a single upload
- Attendees named in the summary and key quotes
- 99 languages, detected automatically
- Plain text, Word or caption files
- Bought minutes stay on the account

FAQ
Plaud Note recordings, answered.
How long does a Plaud recording take to transcribe?
Roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio once the export is uploaded. A one-hour meeting is back in about 2 minutes and a six-hour day in about 12.
What does a six-hour recording cost?
Six hours is 360 minutes. With the first 20 minutes free, the $6 pack of 500 minutes transcribes the rest and leaves 140 minutes. If you record eight 90-minute meetings a month, 720 minutes, the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes lasts nearly three months.
How big can an exported Plaud file be?
The ceiling is 10 hours or 5 GB for any single export. Before the first pack, files up to 2 GB start right away; a WAV export of a very long day can pass that and starts once a pack is on the account.
What if one recording runs longer than 10 hours?
Export it in two parts, or trim it into two in any audio editor, and upload both. Each part gets its own transcript.
Can it transcribe meetings in other languages?
Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, including Spanish, Portuguese, Korean and Hebrew, and English mixed with Tagalog in one meeting is handled.
Which exports come back, and where is the audio processed?
The transcript saves as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
