Transcribe long PlayStation captures party chat and commentary included.
Copy your PlayStation captures to a USB drive, move them to a computer or phone and upload them here, up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file; if you broadcast the session to YouTube or Twitch, paste that link instead. An hour of capture is text in about 2 minutes, the first 20 minutes are free, and five 1-hour captures (300 minutes) fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
Console to computer to text
The console records the play. The talking over it is what you want to keep.
Get the captures off the console
In the Media Gallery, select the captures and copy them to a USB drive formatted for the console. The console's capture settings let you choose the video format, usually WebM or MP4; both upload here, and the file names carry the game and the date.
Is the voice chat in the file?
Whether party chat and your microphone are recorded depends on the capture audio settings, and other players may have opted out of being recorded. Check those settings before a session you want transcribed, and agree with the party that you are recording.
Long nights arrive in pieces
The console limits how long one recording can run, so a five-hour evening usually ends up as several files. Upload each one; the transcripts stay separate and each keeps its own timestamps.
A capture over 500 MB
This page's box handles files up to 500 MB. Higher-resolution captures can be bigger, so send those through the upload page, which takes up to 5 GB per file.
What happens to a capture
Captures pile up on the console and the conversation in them is never looked at again.
✗ Left in the Media Gallery
The plan you made with the party is in there, at a minute nobody remembers.
- Captures filling the console storage
- Party plans forgotten by next weekend
- Whisper's API stops at a 25 MB upload
- No captions for the clip you post
- Hours to rewatch for one quote
- Nothing to search across sessions
✓ Copied and uploaded
Each capture becomes a page you can skim in minutes.
- The full chat and commentary as text
- Chapters with timestamps per capture
- Names, numbers and dates said, collected
- SRT and VTT for posting clips
- About 2 minutes per hour of capture
- Credits that last between sessions

FAQ
PlayStation captures, answered.
How long does a capture take to transcribe?
About 2 minutes for every hour of audio, so a stack of five 1-hour captures is done in about 10 minutes in total.
What do several nights of play cost?
A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free; past that, a recording is previewed and a pack transcribes the rest. Five 1-hour captures use 300 minutes of the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Twenty hours in a month is 1,200 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 800 left.
Can I upload from my phone?
Yes, if the capture file is on the phone; the upload box works in a mobile browser. Copying to a USB drive and a computer is the more reliable route for long, large captures.
Does it transcribe the game sound too?
No. Music, sound effects and crowd noise are not transcribed; the speech is. A loud game mix can still bury quiet voices, so turn the game volume down in the party mix when you plan to transcribe.
What if a capture is over 2 GB?
Before your first pack, uploads stop at 2 GB; with a pack on the account, one file can be up to 5 GB. Saving the audio as MP3 first also shrinks it: an hour at 128 kbps is about 58 MB.
Which files come back, and is the audio private?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Captures are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
