Transcribe Qumu webcast and library recordings what leadership said, in writing.
A Qumu webcast transcribes once you download the recording and upload it, at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so a 90-minute town hall is text in about 3 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free; four 90-minute quarterly town halls (360 minutes) fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
Internal comms, in text
The town hall reaches every screen live. A week later it is a link in the library.
Export from the library
Qumu keeps webcast recordings and uploaded videos in its library, and downloading is usually allowed for the owner or an administrator, depending on your setup. The file is usually an MP4; check the export options your instance shows. A copy published to YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive can be pasted as a link.
Long webcasts in one piece
The box on this page takes files up to 500 MB, and a full HD town hall that is larger continues on the main upload page, up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. Before a first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB; a larger file starts once a pack is on the account.
A comms year, priced
Four quarterly town halls at 90 minutes are 360 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Add twelve 60-minute leadership webcasts (720) and the year is 1,080 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000, with 920 left. The year is text in about 36 minutes.
What each webcast returns
A brief with the thesis and takeaways, chapters at each agenda item, the numbers and dates leaders gave, and the questions employees asked. Leaders are named in the summary and key quotes; chat over the transcript to answer a follow-up without rewatching.
After the broadcast
Half the company watched live. The other half asks their manager what was announced.

FAQ
Qumu recordings, answered.
Does WhipScribe integrate with Qumu?
No. WhipScribe has no Qumu integration and nothing joins the live webcast. Export the recording from the library and upload it, or paste a link if it also sits on YouTube, Vimeo or Drive.
How soon after the town hall is the text ready?
Minutes after the upload finishes: about 2 minutes per audio hour, so a 90-minute town hall takes about 3 and a 4-hour leadership summit about 8.
What does a year of webcasts cost?
The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor; longer webcasts are previewed and a pack from $6 transcribes the rest. 360 minutes of town halls fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes; 1,080 minutes with leadership webcasts need the $12 pack of 2,000. Credits never expire.
Can we caption the on-demand copy?
Export SRT or VTT, timed to the file you uploaded, and attach it wherever your player accepts a caption file. TXT and DOCX suit the intranet; JSON suits your own tools.
Our town halls run in several languages.
Each file is detected automatically from 99 languages, and English product names inside another language are handled. A webcast that switches language is detected on its main language.
Who sees the content?
Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Delete files and transcripts whenever you like.
