Size and the 2 GB mark
A 70-minute interview as 16-bit stereo WAV at 44.1 kHz is about 740 MB, and as a 128 kbps MP3 about 67 MB. Both fit under the 2 GB that uploads before a pack. With a pack, every file may run to 5 GB or 10 hours. A full-day session recorded in one go is the only kind likely to need that headroom, and anything past 10 hours goes in as two files.

Ringr interviews: common questions.
Does WhipScribe connect to Ringr?
No. There is no integration or bot in Ringr. You download the recording from your Ringr account and upload it here; that is the whole path.
Do I need my guest's consent?
Any recorded call needs whatever consent the law where you are requires. Interviews arranged through Ringr are normally planned with the guest, but say clearly at the start that you are recording.
How long does a 70-minute interview take?
A little under 2.5 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. A two-hour conversation takes about 4, and a short follow-up call of 30 minutes takes about one. The longest public test on /proof/long-files is 9.31 hours in 1,033 seconds.
Is my side and my guest's side handled?
Upload the mixed recording and both voices are transcribed as one conversation. If your download gives you separate tracks instead, upload the mixed one, or each track as its own file if you want them apart. The interviewer and guest are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and the transcript reads as clean running text.
What does a book of interviews cost?
Your first 20 minutes cost nothing. Sixty interviews of an hour are 3,600 minutes, on the $24 pack of 5,000. Twenty-five of 70 minutes are 1,750, on the $12 pack of 2,000.
Where do the recordings go?
They are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training, and you can delete them at any time. Exports are TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON.
