Transcribe a long RØDECaster Pro II recording send the mix, get the episode as text.
A RØDECaster Pro II session uploads here as its stereo mix WAV, and a three-hour episode is back as text in about six minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a 40-episode season of two-hour shows, 4,800 minutes, fits the $24 pack of 5,000.
From console to show notes
Every microphone on the desk ends up in one mixed file. That file is the one to send.
Mix, not multitrack
The console records the session to a microSD card or a USB drive, and with multitrack switched on it also keeps the separate channels. The stereo mix has every voice in one file, so send that from upload page and leave the multitrack for the edit.
How big the mix gets
A 48 kHz, 24-bit stereo WAV is about 1 GB per hour. Even a two-hour episode lands just past the 2 GB that uploads before the first pack, so long sessions start once a pack is on the account, up to 5 GB.
Who said it, attributed
Speakers are identified and named in the summary, the key quotes and the chapters, which is where show notes come from. Each chapter carries a timestamp you can paste straight into the episode description.
Forty episodes, one purchase
Forty two-hour episodes are 80 hours, or 4,800 minutes. The $24 pack of 5,000 minutes holds the season with 200 to spare, at $0.29 an audio hour, and it includes API access if you want to automate the upload.
Where long episodes get stuck
A three-hour episode is normal for the show. It is not normal for most transcription tools.

FAQ
RØDECaster Pro II recordings, the common questions.
How long does a three-hour episode take?
About six minutes after the upload, since processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. On a big WAV the upload itself is usually the longer part.
What does one long episode cost, and a whole season?
A three-hour episode is 180 minutes and fits the $6 pack of 500. A season of 40 two-hour episodes is 4,800 minutes and fits the $24 pack of 5,000. A team that records every week can also look at the $19 a month Workspace.
My session WAV is over 2 GB. What happens?
A file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account, and the ceiling is 5 GB. Exporting the mix as MP3 brings a three-hour episode to a few hundred megabytes if you would rather upload it before buying.
Should I upload the multitrack channels?
Usually not. The stereo mix carries every voice and gives one transcript per episode. Sending each channel separately counts every channel's minutes and gives you several partial transcripts.
Which languages work for a podcast?
99 languages, detected automatically, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Tagalog among them. A show in Afrikaans or Zulu comes back in the language spoken.
What are the exports, and are the episodes private?
Download each episode as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Delete an episode and its transcript goes with it.
