Transcribe long sessions recorded on a Sennheiser Profile USB game nights, podcast days and long talks.
A 4.5-hour session recorded through a Sennheiser Profile USB, such as a tabletop game night or a long podcast day, comes back as text in about 9 minutes from one exported file. The first 20 minutes are free on a first visit, one session uses 270 minutes of the $6 pack of 500, and four a month make 1,080 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000.
From the table to the recap
A long session wanders. The transcript keeps track of where it went.
Your software holds the file
The Profile plugs into a computer by USB and records nothing by itself. The program that captured the session, an audio editor, a podcast app or a call recorder, saved the file, usually as a WAV or MP3; check its export settings and output folder, then drag the finished file in.
One mic for the whole table
Set in the middle of a table, one microphone hears everyone, nearer voices louder. For a remote game, record the call's mixed audio locally, so all players are in the same file. Background music and dice rolls are not transcribed; the speech is.
Recaps without rewatching
A session returns with a brief of what happened, chapters with timestamps for each scene or segment, and the names, places and numbers said. Players are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and character names land in the list of names said, which is most of next week's recap before you write a line.
Size for a long night
A 16-bit stereo WAV at 48 kHz takes about 691 MB an hour, so four and a half hours is near 3.1 GB and starts once a pack is on the account. A 128 kbps MP3 of the same night is roughly 260 MB and uploads before any pack.
Long sessions elsewhere
Four hours at the table go fast. Remembering them a week later does not.

FAQ
Sennheiser Profile USB recordings, the common questions.
How long does a 4.5-hour Profile session take?
About 9 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of sound. A two-hour podcast recorded on the same mic takes about 4.
What does a month of game nights cost?
Four 4.5-hour sessions are 1,080 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 with 920 left. A single night uses 270 minutes of the $6 pack of 500, and the opening 20 minutes on a first visit are free.
The night's WAV passed 2 GB. Will it upload?
Yes, once a pack is on the account; the ceiling then is 5 GB or 10 hours per file. Before that, export an MP3, which keeps the same words in a fraction of the size.
What about a session longer than 10 hours?
Split it into two files at a natural break, such as a meal, and upload both. Each part keeps its own timestamps.
Can the game be in another language?
Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, and a table that switches between English and another language is detected on its main one.
Which files come back, and who hears the game night?
The night exports to TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. The night is transcribed on our own servers and is never used for training, and the microphone has no link to us; you send the file.
