Transcribe long Snagit recordings meetings captured from your screen.
A long meeting captured with Snagit's video recorder is saved as an MP4, which uploads here as it is, and a 90-minute meeting comes back in about 3 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, one meeting is 90 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes, and fifty weekly meetings fit the $24 pack.
From Snagit to the minutes
Snagit was there when the meeting tool's recorder was not. The MP4 is all WhipScribe needs.
Where Snagit keeps the recording
Snagit video captures are MP4 files, and they appear in the Snagit library after you stop recording. To get the file out, open it in the Snagit editor and save or share a copy to a folder you can find.
Check the audio sources
Snagit records the microphone and, when switched on, the computer's audio. For a call, the other participants come through the system audio, so confirm it is enabled before a long meeting begins. A quick ten-second test before the meeting starts shows whether both sides can be heard in the playback.
A year of weekly meetings
Fifty weekly meetings of 90 minutes are 4,500 minutes. That passes the $12 pack, so the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes is the fit, with 500 minutes to spare. A team that records every week can compare it with the $19 a month Workspace.
Minutes without retyping
The brief lists decisions and takeaways, chapters follow the agenda, and the names, numbers and dates said are gathered in one place. Ask the chat when the deadline was agreed and it points to the timestamp.
Screen-recorded meetings elsewhere
The meeting is on your disk as an MP4, and nobody wants to watch ninety minutes of it again.

FAQ
Snagit meeting recordings: questions.
How long does a 90-minute Snagit recording take?
Around 3 minutes, at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 4.94-hour file on the proof page was done in 372 seconds.
What does a year of Snagit-recorded meetings cost?
New visitors have the first 20 minutes free. Fifty 90-minute meetings (4,500 minutes) fit the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. One meeting uses 90 of the $6 pack's 500 minutes, so five such meetings fit with 50 left.
How big is a long Snagit MP4, and should I split it?
Screen video of a call at 1 Mbps is 450 MB an hour (1 times 3,600 divided by 8), so 90 minutes is about 675 MB. Files can be 10 hours or 5 GB, and up to 2 GB before a pack, so a meeting rarely needs splitting.
Does WhipScribe work inside Snagit or join the meeting?
No to both. There is no Snagit integration and no bot in the call; it works on the saved recording afterwards. If the same meeting was also recorded to Google Drive, the share link can be pasted instead of the MP4.
Can the meeting be in more than one language?
Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, the recording is read on its main language, and a meeting that switches between English and Tagalog is handled.
Which files come back, and where is my meeting processed?
A Snagit meeting comes back as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recorded meetings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
