Transcribe a long Clipchamp recording the whole meeting, not a summary of it.
A long meeting recorded with Clipchamp's screen and webcam recorder on Windows can be exported as an MP4 and uploaded here, and a 2-hour meeting comes back in about 4 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, a 2-hour meeting is 120 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes, and a quarter of weekly meetings fits the $12 pack.
Record, export, upload
Clipchamp records the meeting on your own screen. The transcript comes from the exported file.
Export from the editor
Once the recording is on the timeline, use Export and pick a resolution; Clipchamp writes an MP4, and on most setups it lands in your Downloads folder, though the browser or app may ask where to save it. Upload that MP4 as it is. If the meeting is long, give the export a few minutes to finish before closing the browser tab.
Pick the lower resolution
Long meetings are mostly faces and slides, so 480p or 720p is enough. At 1.5 Mbps an hour is 1.5 times 3,600 divided by 8, or 675 MB, so a 2-hour meeting is about 1.35 GB and uploads before any pack is bought.
Make sure the other side was recorded
A screen recording only carries what Windows played and what your microphone heard, so check that system audio was switched on before a long call. If only your side is audible, the transcript can only hold your side.
Minutes from the meeting
Each meeting comes back with a brief of the decisions and takeaways, chapters by agenda item, and the names, numbers and dates mentioned. The chat answers questions like who agreed to send the figures, and speakers are named in the summary and chapters.
Recorded meetings elsewhere
The meeting was recorded on your machine, so meeting-bot tools never saw it.
✗ The usual dead ends
A local screen recording falls outside most meeting tools.
- Meeting bots that had to join live
- 1080p exports that crawl up the network
- Uploads that stop at the first hour
- Notes typed while also talking
- Action items lost in two hours of video
- A monthly seat for a few meetings
✓ From Clipchamp to minutes
Export once, upload once, read the meeting.
- MP4 at 480p or 720p
- Roughly 4 minutes per 2-hour meeting
- Each decision listed in the meeting brief
- A chapter for every agenda point
- 20 opening minutes without charge
- $12 for a quarter of meetings

FAQ
Clipchamp meeting recordings, the questions.
How long does a 2-hour Clipchamp recording take?
Around 4 minutes; transcription runs at about 2 minutes per audio hour. A 4.94-hour file on the proof page finished in 372 seconds.
What do a quarter of weekly meetings cost?
The first 20 minutes are free for a new visitor. Thirteen weekly meetings of 2 hours are 1,560 minutes, on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 440 left. If your team records every week, the $19 a month Workspace is worth comparing.
How large can the export be, and does it need splitting?
One file can hold up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and before the first pack uploads go up to 2 GB. A meeting that fits in one export needs no splitting; if it was recorded in parts, upload each part.
Does WhipScribe connect to Clipchamp or join my calls?
Neither. There is no integration with Clipchamp and no bot in any call; WhipScribe works on the exported recording afterwards. A copy saved to Google Drive can be pasted as a share link.
Our meetings mix English and another language. Will that work?
Yes. The language is detected automatically across 99 languages, the recording is read on its main language, and switches such as English and Tagalog in one meeting are handled.
Which exports come back from a Clipchamp meeting, and where is it processed?
You can download the meeting as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Clipchamp meetings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
