Transcribe Spreaker live shows every hour of the broadcast.
A live show broadcast on Spreaker and saved as a 4-hour episode is 240 minutes of audio, and it is text in about 8 minutes once you paste the show's RSS feed. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers two such broadcasts with 20 minutes left. WhipScribe works on the saved episode afterwards and has no link into the live session.
After the live show ends
A marathon broadcast becomes a document you can scan in minutes.
The replay is the source
Once a live broadcast is saved as an episode, it appears in the show's RSS feed like any other. Paste the feed and the episode is fetched; if you also keep a local recording of the show, uploading that file works as well.
Each hour, mapped
Long live shows run in blocks: an opening hour, guests, listener calls, a wrap-up. The chapters mark each block with its start time, and the brief says what the broadcast decided, argued or announced.
Call-ins worth keeping
Co-hosts and guests are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters. A caller's question and the answer it got sit together in the text, ready to quote in the next show's intro.
A weekly marathon, priced
Four weekly broadcasts of 240 minutes add up to 960 minutes a month. That fits the $12 pack of 2,000 with 1,040 minutes left, and the credits do not expire if you take a month off air.
Why live replays rarely get transcribed
Four hours of live talk is too long for most tools and most people.
✗ What usually happens
The replay sits in the feed, and nobody has time to listen back.
- A four-hour replay nobody revisits
- Upload caps that stop at one hour
- Callers' points lost after the broadcast
- Show notes that cover the first segment only
- Background music typed in as words
- A subscription for a show that airs weekly
✓ With the replay transcribed
The whole broadcast comes back as text with a map of its hours.
- About 8 minutes for the full 240
- Chapters for each block of the show
- Co-hosts named in the summary and quotes
- Music and stings left out
- SRT and VTT for a video restream
- One-time packs that wait between seasons

FAQ
Spreaker live shows, answered.
How long does a 4-hour broadcast take?
About 8 minutes, because a recording takes roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. The public record at /proof/long-files shows 4.94 hours finished in 372 seconds.
What does a 240-minute show cost?
One show uses 240 of the 500 minutes on the $6 pack, so two fit with 20 to spare. A weekly four-hour show belongs on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, about $0.36 an audio hour.
What if my show ran past six hours?
A single recording can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so a six- or eight-hour broadcast still goes in whole; only a show longer than 10 hours needs to go as two files. A saved broadcast up to 2 GB uploads even before your first pack.
Can I transcribe the show while it is live?
No. WhipScribe works on the recording afterwards, so the saved episode or your own recording of the broadcast is what goes in.
What about shows in other languages?
99 languages are detected automatically, and a broadcast that changes language is detected on its main one, with the switches handled.
Which formats come out, and does the broadcast stay private?
The run returns TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Broadcasts are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
