Transcribe long recordings from Subsplash the sermon library, made searchable.
A Subsplash sermon or service becomes text by uploading the media file, or by pasting the podcast feed when your church publishes one: a 45-minute sermon comes back in about 90 seconds. The first 20 minutes are free, and eleven 45-minute sermons (495 minutes) fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
Two ways in
A file from the media library, or the feed your sermons already go out on.
Upload the media file
The person who manages your church's Subsplash media can usually get the original sermon file, often an MP3 for audio or an MP4 for video. Upload that file unchanged. There is no Subsplash integration here, nothing installed in your app, and nothing that talks to your account.
Or paste the podcast feed
Many churches publish sermons as a podcast. When yours has a public feed, paste the feed or an episode link and the audio is fetched without a download on your side. If you are not sure there is one, ask whoever set up the church app.
Your own church's media
Transcribe sermons your church recorded, or messages another ministry has allowed you to use. Readings, prayers and preaching come back as text; congregational singing and instrumental music are not transcribed.
A series on one pack
A 6-week series of 45-minute sermons is 270 minutes, inside the $6 pack of 500 minutes. A full year of weekly 45-minute sermons is 2,340 minutes, past the $12 pack, so the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes covers it with 2,660 left for midweek studies.

FAQ
Subsplash recordings, the common questions.
How long does one sermon take?
A 45-minute sermon takes about 90 seconds. A full 2-hour service with worship takes about 4 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour.
What does a sermon series or a year cost?
First-time visitors get the first 20 minutes of a sermon free. Eleven 45-minute sermons fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes. A year of weekly sermons at 2,340 minutes belongs on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes, at $0.29 an audio hour.
Can I paste a Subsplash link?
Paste a podcast or RSS feed link if your church publishes one. A link to a page inside the church app is not read; for that, download the media file and upload it.
What about very long files, like a conference?
Conference files can be as long as 10 hours or as big as 5 GB. Files up to 2 GB upload before a pack; a larger one starts once a pack is on the account. A full conference day longer than 10 hours goes in as two files.
Our church preaches in Spanish or Korean. Does that work?
Yes. The language is detected automatically from 99, with nothing to set. A service that switches between two languages is detected on the main one and the switches are handled.
What formats come back, and is anything shared?
Sermons export to TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
