Transcribe long Thinkific course videos the masterclass and the lessons around it.
A Thinkific creator can upload a 6-hour masterclass and read it as a transcript in about 12 minutes, and that 360-minute recording fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 140 left. A whole 30-hour course, 1,800 minutes, sits on the $12 pack of 2,000. The first 20 minutes are free, and nothing connects to your Thinkific site: you upload the video files you made.
Long lessons, handled whole
A recorded masterclass runs for hours. Send it as a single file.
One file, the full length
A live masterclass recorded and posted as a single long lesson can run five or six hours. One upload covers up to 10 hours, so the whole session keeps a single set of timestamps from the welcome to the last question. That matters when a student asks about something said in hour four.
Which copy to upload
Use the original you recorded or exported, usually an MP4, rather than anything re-downloaded from the course. A file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account; if the upload refuses a format, convert the file to MP3 first.
Questions from live attendees
When a masterclass includes live questions, the chapters mark where each one starts, and the brief lists the questions the session answers. That list is a ready FAQ for the lesson page.
Per-lesson captions
Every transcript exports as SRT and VTT, timed to the video you uploaded. Add them to each lesson using your course platform's caption settings, which upload page does not touch.
What a six-hour lesson does to other tools
Most tools are sized for a short clip. A masterclass is not one.

- Typing captions over a weekend
- An outline rebuilt by rewatching
- No way to see which questions were answered

FAQ
Thinkific course videos, answered.
How long does a 6-hour masterclass take to transcribe?
About 12 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour. Our published test returned 9.31 hours in 1,033 seconds; see /proof/long-files.
What does a full course cost?
A 6-hour masterclass is 360 minutes on the $6 pack of 500. A 30-hour course is 1,800 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000. Anything above 2,000 minutes fits the $24 pack of 5,000. Your first 20 minutes as a new visitor are free.
Can a student transcribe my course videos?
Only if you let them download the videos. A student transcribes what the creator allows them to save; WhipScribe has no access to Thinkific and works only on files people upload.
Is there a size limit, and should I split the video?
A file may last up to 10 hours or weigh up to 5 GB. Uploads before the first pack go up to 2 GB. Splitting is only needed past 10 hours, and then two files are enough.
Which languages can my lessons be in?
Any one of 99, and the language is detected automatically. A course in Swedish, Hebrew or Spanish comes back in that language, and a lesson that borrows English terms stays on its main language.
What exports do I get, and is my content private?
Lessons export as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Course videos are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training; you can remove them whenever you choose.
