Where the file comes from
Streamers usually have two copies to choose from: a past broadcast the platform kept, which you may be able to download from your channel, and the copy your encoder wrote to disk. Whether Trovo offers a download for a given VOD can change, so check your channel's video tools; the local recording is usually an MP4 or MKV, depending on your encoder's settings.

Trovo links are not read directly, so the file travels as an upload. The box on this page takes files up to 500 MB; a bigger stream continues on upload page, which still accepts 10 hours or 5 GB. If you simulcast the same broadcast to Twitch, Kick or YouTube, paste that link and skip the upload.

How long does a 4-hour Trovo stream take?
Around 8 minutes, at about 2 minutes per audio hour. On /proof/long-files a 9.31-hour file finished in 1,033 seconds. Sending a big video file over a home connection is usually the slower part.
Can I paste a Trovo link?
Not a Trovo link. Upload the downloaded VOD or your local recording, or paste a Twitch, Kick or YouTube link if the stream also went out there.
What will my streams cost?
Your first visit includes 20 minutes free; a longer stream is previewed and a pack from $6 transcribes the rest from where the preview ended. Two 4-hour streams, 480 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500. Credits never expire and there is no subscription.
My recording is over 5 GB. What now?
At 6 Mbps, a 4-hour stream is about 10.8 GB. Convert it to MP3 first: at 128 kbps the same 4 hours is roughly 230 MB. Before your first pack, uploads stop at 2 GB, and a stream over 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account.
Is game audio transcribed?
No. Music, sound effects and crowd noise are left out; your commentary and any guest mixed into the stream are kept. Speakers are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters.
