Transcribe long recordings from a TV studio segments and interviews, searchable by time.
A long recording from a TV studio, such as a 3-hour studio session or a 2-hour sit-down interview, is transcribed at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so the 3-hour session is text in roughly 6 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the 180-minute session with 320 minutes left for the next one.
From the gallery to the edit
A studio day produces hours of talk. The producer needs one line from minute 97.
Which file to send
Studio masters are often large broadcast files, and the container varies by facility, so a format such as MXF may need a quick conversion first. The simplest route is an audio-only export (WAV or MP3) of the programme mix or the interview microphones. If the programme is already on YouTube or Vimeo, paste the link instead. Ask the gallery or the edit suite which export is quickest; a stereo programme mix is usually all the transcript needs.
Timestamps for logging
Each chapter and line carries a time from the start of the file. Producers use them to pull selects and build a paper edit, and loggers stop typing rushes by hand. If your file starts at a different timecode, add the offset.
A series, costed
A weekly 2-hour studio programme over a 40-episode run is 80 hours, or 4,800 minutes, which fits the $24 pack of 5,000. One 3-hour session uses 180 minutes of the $6 pack.
Captions to begin from
SRT and VTT come from the same run, timed to the speech. Treat them as a draft for your caption editor to check against the house style and any broadcast requirements; the online version is often fine after a quick pass.
Why studio recordings sit unlogged
The interview was brilliant. Finding the answer again means watching it again.

FAQ
TV studio recordings, the usual questions.
How long does a long studio session take?
Roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 3-hour session is ready in about 6 minutes, and a 90-minute interview in about 3.
Do I upload the full video master?
You can if it is under 5 GB and 10 hours. Before a first pack, uploads up to 2 GB start immediately. An audio-only WAV or MP3 export is smaller, quicker to upload and transcribes the same.
How is a whole series priced?
Eighty hours of studio time is 4,800 minutes on the $24 pack of 5,000. A shorter run of 20 hours is 1,200 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000. Packs are one-time and in US dollars.
Are guests and presenters identified?
Speakers are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, which is usually enough to find a guest's answers fast.
What about music, stings and audience applause?
They are not transcribed. Speech is, so a studio show with a live band yields the talk between the numbers. Laughter and crosstalk in a lively panel can blur a few words, so check quotes before they go on screen.
Where is the footage processed?
Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Delete the file and its transcript once you have what you need. A team that records studio sessions every week may prefer the $19 monthly Workspace; a single series is simplest on packs.
