Transcribe long Vimeo OTT videos lessons, masterclasses and replays.
A long video from a Vimeo OTT library is transcribed from the original file the creator uploaded, and a 2-hour masterclass comes back as text in about 4 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a 12-lesson course of 75-minute videos (900 minutes) sits on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 1,100 to spare.
Subscription video to searchable text
Your members pay for the videos. A written layer makes the library easier to use.
Start from the file you own
Creators on Vimeo OTT keep the masters they uploaded, usually an MP4 or MOV on a drive or in an editing project. That copy is the cleanest thing to send. If you no longer have it, check the video's options in your OTT admin for a source download; menus change, so look for wording such as download or original.
When a public link is easier
Subscriber pages sit behind a login, so a pasted OTT address is not the route. If the same lesson also lives on a regular Vimeo link or on YouTube, paste that link and the audio is fetched for you. The box on this page takes files up to 500 MB; larger masters continue on the main upload page, still up to 10 hours or 5 GB each.
A course worked out
Twelve lessons of 75 minutes are 900 minutes, which the $12 pack of 2,000 covers with 1,100 left for the next module. A single 2-hour masterclass is 120 minutes on the $6 pack of 500. Credits never expire, so a library can be done one season at a time.
What each lesson returns
A brief with the thesis and takeaways, timestamped chapters for the video description, the names, numbers and dates the instructor says, and the questions the lesson answers. A chat over the transcript finds the minute a technique was first shown. Background music is skipped; the teaching is transcribed.

FAQ
Vimeo OTT lessons: the questions creators ask.
How long does a 2-hour Vimeo OTT lesson take?
About 4 minutes, since processing runs at close to 2 minutes per hour of audio. A full-day workshop recorded at six hours takes around 12.
Can I paste my Vimeo OTT link?
Subscriber-only pages need a login, so upload the file instead. A copy of the same video on a public Vimeo or YouTube link can be pasted, and the audio is fetched without a download on your side.
Does WhipScribe connect to my OTT account?
No. There is no integration with Vimeo OTT and nothing is installed in your admin. You send a file or a public link, and the results stay in your WhipScribe account until you delete them.
My master file is huge. Will it upload?
A 2-hour 1080p master at 5 Mbps is about 4.5 GB (5,000,000 bits × 7,200 seconds ÷ 8). That fits the 5 GB per-file ceiling, but before the first pack uploads stop at 2 GB, so either add a pack first or send an audio-only export, which for two hours is near 115 MB as an MP3.
What does a whole library cost?
One lesson under 500 minutes goes on the $6 pack of 500. Twelve 75-minute lessons (900 minutes) use the $12 pack of 2,000. A back catalogue of sixty 75-minute videos is 4,500 minutes, inside the $24 pack of 5,000. Packs are one-time, with no subscription.
Are paid lessons kept private?
Yes. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete a lesson and its transcript whenever you like. Exports come as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON.
