Transcribe Zoom Rooms recordings the meeting round the table, in writing.
A Zoom Rooms meeting recorded to the cloud transcribes once you download it from the host account and upload it here, at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so a 3-hour board meeting is text in about 6 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and those 180 minutes fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 320 left.
From the meeting room to text
The room recorded the whole meeting. Nobody wants to replay three hours of it.
Whose account holds it
A Zoom Room records to the cloud under the account that hosted or scheduled the meeting, not on the room's own screen. Look in that account's cloud recordings; the video usually arrives as an MP4, and some accounts also offer an audio-only file. If you cannot see the meeting, the person who booked the room, or your Zoom admin, can share or download it.
One microphone, many people
Room audio comes from a ceiling or table microphone, so the person at the far end sounds quieter than the person beside it. The speech is still transcribed; it helps when people say their names once and when the chair repeats a question from the back. Speakers are then identified and named in the summary, the key quotes and the chapters.
A month of room meetings
A weekly 2-hour leadership meeting plus one 4-hour planning session makes 4 × 120 + 240 = 720 minutes a month. That runs past the $6 pack, so it sits on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 1,280 left. Minutes never expire, so a quiet month leaves credit for the busy one.
What the minute-taker gets
A brief with the meeting's thesis and takeaways, chapters for each agenda item, the names, amounts and deadlines that were said, and a chat over the transcript to ask who agreed to what. Upload on upload page; draft minutes start from that text instead of from a replay.

FAQ
Zoom Rooms recordings, answered.
Does WhipScribe join the Zoom Room?
No. Nothing joins the room, the meeting or the Zoom account. Once the meeting has ended and the cloud recording is ready, you download it and upload it here; there is no Zoom integration involved.
How long does a room meeting take to transcribe?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio: a 90-minute weekly meeting in about 3 minutes, a 3-hour board meeting in about 6. The proof page /proof/long-files shows 9.31 hours processed in 1,033 seconds.
What does a month of meetings cost?
The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor; a longer meeting is previewed and a pack from $6 finishes it from where the preview stopped. A 720-minute month goes on the $12 pack of 2,000. A team that records several rooms every week can also look at the $19/month Workspace.
Should I upload the MP4 or the audio file?
Either. If the account offers an audio-only file it is smaller and uploads faster; the MP4 works just as well and suits you if you also want captions for the video. Both carry the same speech.
Do we need everyone's consent to record?
Recording a meeting needs whatever consent the law where you meet requires, and many organisations also have their own policy. Settle that before the room starts recording; WhipScribe only works on the file afterwards.
What languages, and is the file private?
99 languages are detected automatically, and a meeting that drifts between two languages is read on its main one. Recordings are processed on our own servers and never used for training. Exports come as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON.
